This pisses me off!! Just because this isn't classed as a "real" cigarette AIBU to be pissed off when vaping around my babies. Or in any private places such as restaurants,pubs etc.

Ive been to two weddings where a couple where even vaping in CHURCH!!!
And then my niece was making her 1st holy communion and the lady in front was vaping...

I have seen no clinical evidence to suggest its safe.So in the mean time id wish the minority who do it would piss off.

Not all vapers cloud chase and not all vapers use sweet smelling e-liquid.

I have a lung complaint (RADS) and vaping causes a reaction not unlike an asthma attack. So all you sneaky vapers maybe give a thought to those who you are affecting, especially children, it's no different for me and others as real cigarettes smoke.

Whoever asked why would you vape in places you're not allowed to smoke? Er...because you're not allowed to smoke there. You are allowed to vape. Because smoking is bad for people, full of carcinogens etc. Vaping isn't. The odd whiff of some vape you don't like will do you less harm than inhaling someone's cheap nasty perfume or deodorant.

I think vaping is fantastic and is going to save a lot of lives. Some people just like to have something spurious to moan about.

Obviously doing it in church is ill-mannered.

Vapour will NOT set of a smoke detector.

The clue is in the name. I call complete BS on that story in terms of a vape cloud being the source of the evacuation. A cloud of smoke and a cloud of vape are two different things.

Those scents carried on vape clouds aren't just water. They're just as irritating to people who are sensitive to such things as the scent from a plug in or someone's obnoxious perfume.

We had a signed statement from the fire officer (fire brigade) for the disciplinary. The alarm was triggered by the toilet sensor and when they went in it stank of candy floss vape liquid. It's a vape and smoke free building so the individual (who admitted it during the meeting) was breaking the rules anyway.

Bollocks does it set off fire alarms.

Where I work we have very sensitive fire alarms. I caught two people vaping in their room recently and the alarms did not go off. I have vaped near countless smoke alarms and it doesn't set them off.

Stank of Candy Floss You do realise the smell lasts for seconds and by the time the time the fire brigade arrived the smell would have gone? Well certainly enough that the room did not stink of vape.

It would possibly set off a fire alarm if you directly exhaled into a sensor. We have cleaners at work accidently setting off fire alarms by spraying air fresheners in the vicinity of sensors

I'm sitting in my fairly small sitting room, vaping away. No alarms ringing here. And I know they work as they quite happily go off when I'm grilling bacon.

Told this story on here recently... we had a stealthy vaper in the office for ages. Nobody suffered any headaches or coughs. Then an out and proud vaper joined. Two people got headaches from it. Out and proud vaper was told to stop and became stealthy vaper number 2. Vaper 1 continued. Headaches disappeared.
