Not that I do it!
But they are worn next to the skin for 8 hours and I'd wash anything else worn like that..

What do you think?

enceladus

You shower once a week?

I am not a particularly sweaty person, but I would be stinking if I showered once a week. My underarms would be stinking of BO, and my arse would smell like a pig farm.
What about when you have a period? Don't you find washing once a week leaves you less than clean?

Just spray them with a bit of Spanish colonia: www.carterandbond.com/detail.phtml?pID=AG4024

They will go for weeks without a wash!

I think it really isn't important.
3 girls in this house and we all have clean pj's on daily.
As long as I don't have to smell you, do what you like!

enceladus I don't shower every day (except period week because I bleed like a stuck pig) but meaning no offence, once a week is not often enough.

I have known a couple of people who thought two three times a week was often enough. They weren't particularly sweaty people but they were very smelly, and more noticeably the day before they showered/bathed.

Really? I can get a few wears out of jeans sometimes before washing them. And more often than not a couple of wears out of leggings or jeggings.

I'd wear PJ's for up to a week before washing.

Have to agree with Billy about the showering though. I am a very non-sweaty person...I hardly sweat from my underarms at all. My hair can make it to day 3 and still look decent. But a week is a lot without a shower, I think any adult is likely to be a bit whiffy by then.

Wait til you hit the menopause. You'll be washing everyone and everything every night

Nope!....had menopause and didn't have to wash stuff every day.

How anyone can shower once a week is beyond me, let alone admit it.
To the pp who said this- you must honk!

I know a few people like this and they do smell very bad but tend to mask it with perfume/deodorant etc. There is no excuse to smell in this day and age.

I may be of the extreme variety but would rather that than stink, my dc are the same. As was my mum. Spotless.

I have never understood the deal with sink washes. Its such a faff , you may as well have a quick shower by the time you have stripped, filled the sunk, carefully washed only certain bits and dried and dressed again.

The other day I woke up late. I woke up at 6.57am and was out of the door by 7.10 - showered, dressed and make up. Admittedly I dried my hair in the car but I could just have tied it back as it was if I hadn't wanted to rinse it.

A quick shower is definitely quicker and less of a faff than a pits and bits wash, I don't see the point.

And showering once a week is grim, my DC would be filthy if I only bathed them once a week. Perfume doesn't mask body odour.

I have sex alot (ikr) everything gets washed regularly

Why on earth would you wash your hair more regularly than your body? That's odd.

It's definitely easier and more pleasant to just get in the shower to wash hair than to do the leaning over the bath with shower in hand thing.

'once a week is not often enough'; no offence meant either, but @BillywigSting and @blameitonthebipolar; you just must be smellier and sweat more than me, you can't say what is enough unless you are in someone else's skin Wink.

I still don't understand washing towels after one use (I know, I know, we've been here before)- you use them AFTER you've showered or bathed so all that gets on them is water. Is water dirty?

Extending that logic towels would never need washed.
Do you ever wash towels? If so why.

Never. I never wash towels.

Oh blimey I would feel silly washing them every day but then I guess if you've gotten into the habit, it feels normal. I'd imagine you have to have nice quality pj's, mine feel a bit irritating after a wash even though I use non-bio stuff in the machine so they'd be like sandpaper if they went through it daily.

Surely people have more than one pair of pyjamas?
I have loads so wear different ones every night then they just get washed every few days with everything else

You people who wear clean pyjamas every night - do you really take 14 pairs each on a fortnight's holiday?
