To think that really pyjamas should be washed after every wear?

I haven't slept in a pair of PJs since I was a child. You're all cutting yourself off from late night surprise rudey prods and fumbles.

Life is far too short to have to wash pjs every evening.

I'm an every day washer and I have a leather sofa that can be wiped. However I don't run my bare arse all over it for 6+ hours

Not sure what an every day washer is.
I was my sofa cushions 4 or 5 times a year. But I don't sit on them naked.

I have 7 pairs of pjs but they are light cotton so roll up really small and with the one's I'm wearing, ones in the wash and ones drying, I have no issues keeping them in a tiny drawer.
I haven't been on holiday in years 😓 but we always travel hand luggage only (even for 2 weeks) so I would imagine I'd just sleep in underwear or naked or just take one/two pair and wash them. I generally hate sleeping naked.

Theoretically for that reason I should wash the sheets every night as well but that won't happen.
Regarding the environment, a pair of pjs added to a wash that is already happening isn't a big deal.

My rule is, bath or shower every day, usually hair every day but if I miss a day I don't cry about it. Little one bath every night, hair wash twice a week unless he gets something in it.
PJs washed every night, clothes washed every night other than jeans. Sheets washed twice a week but that's cause my boy is prone to weeing on them! Towels after about three uses!
If I had a bath once a week I'm pretty sure you would be able to smell me down the street!!

I change mine once a week (unless I leak during my period). And I don't wear underwear with them (except during my period).

I change the sheets once a fortnight except if there has been an aforementioned leak. I generally change the pillow cases once a week if I remember.

when we only go for up to 2 weeks, we have more than enough laundry, so (bare the swimwear) don't need to do anything, but any longer stay and things get washed. No ironing required, no effort, so not a big deal - but we do have cleaners to change bedsheets etc

I wouldn't use smelly towels in a rental, or sleep in manky pjs just because I am on holiday.

The only time I've done laundry on a holiday was when it was three weeks. We did laundry once, in a laundrette. Swimwear I just rinse out in the shower. Everything else except underwear gets rework at least once unless it's actually dirty or unusually sweaty. Doing washing on holiday is just not on my radar regardless of how long it takes, its not necessary to me so I don't do it.

1 minute to load the machine, 1 minute to put in the dryer when it's washed. I also always wash all the swimwear every night on holiday, at least in a hotel you get fresh towel on request, but you still have some laundry to do, haven't you?

Glad - someone upthread said they wash pyjamas for the whole family every day on holiday. I guess it's possible if you always rent a house/flat with a washing machine for your holidays. Though I can't believe someone cares this much about not rewearing pyjamas, enough to be doing washing on a holiday!

I have loads so wear different ones every night then they just get washed every few days with everything else
