I'm bored and dreaming about being ridiculously rich able to afford a Bugatti Chiron so I thought I'd ask what everyone else's dream car is to distract myself.

Nothing OTT - I would love a little old Mercedes 250SL convertible. Can't afford a car at all so it's just a dream Sad

FlyingElbows · 28/08/2017 14:28

Don't worry about a school, Cailleach, there's plenty of room in a Predator for loads of kids and it's probably more comfortable (it's definitely more comfortable). Unlike a school I can just hose it out at the end of the day. It's even got room for a washing machine and tumble dryer. It'll be like home school but mobile and probably with more horsesWink

Can tell the true petrolheads on this thread! :-)

Fantasy: LaFerrari, Bugatti Veyron
Aspire to (doable in next few years): Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Definitely having within next 12-24 months: Alfa Romeo Brera

Currently enjoying my Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint and my Alfa Romeo GTV JTS - real driving pleasure.

Also get to enjoy sometimes courtesy of my partner: Maserati 3200 GT, Corvette, Alfa Romeo Brera, GT, 159 & Spider.

We love our cars! :-)

Pigeon an original fiat 500!! 😩 you lucky lucky thing they're amazing

DarthMaiden · 28/08/2017 16:10

I already own my dream car - keys below - but I wouldn't say no to a Ferrari California if I could justify the cost Blush

tehmina23 · 28/08/2017 16:13

I can't drive (epilepsy) so my dream car would come with a very attractive male driver.

A grey Porsche 911 would suit me, classy not too showy.

DarthMaiden · 28/08/2017 16:14

If I could have a new car and a Classic car I'd love one if these...

Yellow ideally, purple second choice, anything else third choice!

tehmina23 · 28/08/2017 16:19

Then of course there's the question of who would be my dream driver...

PatMullins · 28/08/2017 16:23

Audi RS7 is my next upgrade Grin

That or a Nissan GTR, like shit off a shovel...

Mytholmroyd · 28/08/2017 16:26

A 110 station wagon landie - any colour - some bastard stole my 17 year old one Angry and I can't afford to replace it. It was like loosing a family pet Sad. Only car I have enjoyed driving on and off road. Not making them any more Sad

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 28/08/2017 16:30

I won't be greedy, a second-hand Aston MartinV8 Vantagewould do nicely.

krustykittens · 28/08/2017 16:32

I dream of a 1968 Corvette Stingray. Neeeeever going to happen! But in the meantime I get to drive a Jaguar XK8 and Land Rover Discovery so I am a happy bunny!

YorkieDorkie · 28/08/2017 17:04

My realistic dream car would be the Audi Q7, should be mine next year with any luck!
Unrealistic... errr... cover the Q7 in glitter? I don't care much for crazy cars Grin

BabychamSocialist · 28/08/2017 17:14

I've always wanted a Citroen 2CV but DH said they're too expensive to keep running. That's a dream smashed - I always wanted it as an everyday car!

misscockerspaniel · 28/08/2017 18:24

Please can I be greedy:
My neighbour's black mini for everyday use;
His white Porsche super-duper sports car for posing; and
a Porsche Macan for the dogs.

Thank you Smile

Agustarella · 28/08/2017 18:34

Elvis Presley's gold Cadillac! Or pretty much anything American and retro. In real life I don't even have a licence!

Amd724 · 28/08/2017 18:43

Realistic dream car? Mazda CX-9 but my husband wants to go fully electric, so maybe this car is unrealistic for me now....

We just bought a Nissan Leaf, its a great car, we're still waiting for it to arrive. It's being built.

Unrealistic? Would definitely be a vintage Mustang. It'd be too pretty to drive. My brother had one for years until his fiancé got pregnant and they had to be sensible! So, they bought a Ford Expedition actually! But, they live in Kansas and these decisions make somewhat sense there? I live in the UK, thus its a Nissan Leaf for me.

missymayhemsmum · 28/08/2017 23:26

Vintage bus dormobile conversion for weekends
I love my Leaf, but ideally I want one with a sunroof and a bigger boot... that drives itself. If someone would invent self-healing paintwork that'd be cool too.

ShellyBoobs · 30/08/2017 10:47

My dream car would have to be a Porsche Carrera GT - the V10 supercar thing from 12 or so years ago, not a 'normal' Carrera.

It's the noise that does it.

ineedwine99 · 30/08/2017 11:00

Ttbb We have the Jag SUV, the F-Pace R Sport, it's a beautiful car, lovely to drive, great auto gear box, paddle shifts on the steering wheel for manual control.
Nice roomy cabin and big boot, Satnav is great as the on board computer system, you can also download an app to your phone that allows you to track the car, see journey history, start the engine and set the temperature.
We have the rear reversing camera which i do recommend given the size of the car!

Awww, that's so sad. I'm sorry. I feel your pain - if I lost my much-loved 19-year-old car, I would also feel as if I'd lost a pet. I hope that one day you manage to afford another one.

BoysofMelody · 30/08/2017 12:51

I really don't get this fetishism for Land Rover defenders. Easily the most uncomfortable vehicle I've travelled in.

They've been totally superceded in their original role as a farmer's workhorse by 4x4 Japanese pickups that do everything a land rover does but cheaper, better and more reliably.

Orangebird69 · 30/08/2017 13:14

Defenders are a passion. I don't 'get' the love of Ferrari/Bugatti etc. But they're a passion for some. Plus, this is a thread about dream cars. Not practical suitable and economic cars. Confused

Mytholmroyd · 30/08/2017 13:52

They might be uncomfortable to travel in but mine was very comfortable to drive - never got back ache with the upright driving position and the seat - haven't found anything to compare. I think it was the way in moved over the ground like an animal like it was alive and you moved with it - closest thing on four wheels to riding a horse!
