A friend posted on facebook the other day about having a work man other who pooed in her loo without asking. The comments were all saying how rude and disgusting it was. Some even saying to report him or that they would have kicked him out. Anyway I mentioned it to a friend who didn't see the problem. But I do think that it's rude aswell so aibu or is it rude not to ask?!

One of the medications I take makes my pee smell... how do I get round that one? Confused

m0therofdragons · 24/08/2017 20:26

Erm, if he'd pooed in the corner behind the sofa then rude, in a toilet? That's what it's there for! Hmm

My old neighbour was up her own arse and when she had workmen she hired an outside toilet. Totally ridiculous that you'd see yourself so superior to another human that you'd invite them into your home and refuse access to a loo/expect a grown man to ask permission. Bonkers.

mamatiger83 · 24/08/2017 21:05

Im shocked this has actually caused any controversy whatsoever, where on earth was he supposed to poo?
You don't actually get much weirder then me about this, I can't even go if my dh is in the house, he sometimes needs to go and buy milk for no apparent reason Confused so I personally could not do that at anyone else's house, however, I have no digestive problems so this isn't an issue for me. My dh on the other hand has ibs and when he needs to go he needs to go.
I certainly would not object to someone using my loo and then having the petty mindedness to complain about it on social media!
If it's an issue of smell put an air freshener in there!

redcarbluecar · 24/08/2017 21:15

At least the whole sorry business gave her a Facebook post opportunity 😀

Ceto · 24/08/2017 21:24

OP, do ask your FB mates to come on this thread and explain their thinking on this. I'd genuinely like to understand their thinking.

Lavenderfly · 24/08/2017 22:06

Im one of those.

I avoid pooing outside home, almost never at work or at other people's houses. I understand your disdain.

But we have "pooing anxiety" and as gross as you think other people doing it is, we are the abnormal ones.

If the workman is reported, you / your friend will look very silly indeed.

Seekingmiracles · 24/08/2017 22:24

So you expect them to ask to take a shit in your toilet?! WHAT??! As long as they didn't leave a mess behind I wouldn't give a shit who shits in my loo!

xqwertyx · 24/08/2017 22:30

@cardibach "is it alright if i have a poo" Grin

Not a chance am I saying that at the next dinner party I attend.

StickThatInYourPipe · 24/08/2017 22:32

Omg please please tell your friend to report this.

It will make the boss laugh for days about the rediculous woman!

MissCommunication · 24/08/2017 22:34

What am I reading?

Dancingfairy · 24/08/2017 22:36

I really do still think it's rude still.
Well been at the fun fair all day. No toilets. There wasn't loads of people running around desperate for a poo. I've just checked on the fb post again and she commented saying she will be reporting it.

OP posts:
xqwertyx · 24/08/2017 22:37

That is a complaint letter I would pay to see.

mamatiger83 · 24/08/2017 22:42

Reporting him for what exactly? This is truly a case worthy of judge rinder? Is your 'friend' hoping to receive some type of compensation for having her porcelain sullied? Or perhaps she'd like an apology note from the workman who dared to evacuate his bowels in a suitable location? GrinGrinGrinGrin

StickThatInYourPipe · 24/08/2017 22:44

Just remember OP even the brightest stars have to punish the porcelain! 😂

No toilets all day? Wow! You must not drink anything!

RunYouJuiceBitch · 24/08/2017 22:48

The question is: DID the workman leave the toilet in an unacceptable state? I feel like we don't yet know this.

Piglet208 · 24/08/2017 22:51

@Dancingfairy Your prejudice towards workmen and delivery drivers and your lack of normal common decency and compassion stinks more than anybody's shit. Confused

minoandolphin · 24/08/2017 22:54

There wasn't loads of people running around desperate for a poo

How in the wide world can you possibly know that?! Do you think when grown adults need to go they run around with their pants round their ankles screaming "I NEED TO POOOOOOO!!!", letting everyone know? No. They a) leave and find somewhere with a toilet or b) if they have a condition that means they really can't hold it, they have an accident, go back to their car, possibly cry about it feeling utterly humiliated then go home and get cleaned up. You may have superhuman control of all your bodily functions which you seem to think makes you a superior form of human, but not everyone does.

Mittens1969 · 24/08/2017 22:58

I agree, the OP seems to have no consideration for anyone apart from herself. Workmen are human beings like you are and they sometimes need to do a poo and it's totally wrong to make them wait all day. Talk about selfish and entitled!

AmaraSas · 24/08/2017 23:00

What the? They dont have to ask to poo, expected courtesy of "may i use your bathroom?" If you say no end of. I had an engineer here once who asked if he could, of course i said but fortunately before he had a chance my ds told me he had blocked the toilet. I had to tell the engineer so he wasnt faced with the mess in there. If a workman took it on themselves to use my loo without asking i wouldnt bat an eyelid. I feed them enough tea and biscuits to understand nature may take its course

Beeziekn33ze · 24/08/2017 23:02

Je reviens - snork at the fairy lights! 🤣

Dancingfairy · 24/08/2017 23:07

I thought the work man blocked the toilet when I first read that AmaraSas how utterly humiliating that would be.

OP posts:
Ontheboardwalk · 24/08/2017 23:13

There was a very vocal complaint made when a workman had 3 poos in 5 hours at my house.

I didn't make the complaint, I never noticed, I'm not bothered what people do in there. I just heard him having a massive row with his work mate about it who thought he was skiving and taking the piss - literally.

Gileswithachainsaw · 24/08/2017 23:18

So this thing would it also apply to paramedics or police or fire fighters who used your loo to defecate or change a tampon or vomit...or is it just worker people who are beneath being able to use a loo without announcing on face book so everyone in a 4 mile radius to your house van "prepare"

redsquirrel2 · 24/08/2017 23:19

Who is she going to report it to? Could she report it to me please, I could do with a laugh. What a snob.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 24/08/2017 23:30

This is such a weird thread..who she going to report to?! And say what lol..just bizzare
