i have to get advice on how to tell my friend please.i don't want to be mean or sounds mean or upset her how but how on earth do you talk to someone about their personal hygiene? This has always been a issue on my part il admit because I'm the one with the issue but I have to talk her. She's never been much of a bather will happily go days with out washing and yes openly admits this. I'm not the only one who has noticed.
Right .. few weeks ago we went for a few drinks together after a few i popped to the loo and she followed me in and popped in cubicle next to me, she called me into the cubicle to zip her dress back up and omg I nearly vomited!
This sounds so mean but I had to hold my breath! 100percent no word of a lie! The smell of what can only be described as fish (old fish)was horrendous I can't even explain!
I got out side the bar and I vomited every where with the smell still in my nose sad I don't have any sensitivity to bad smells but it was unlike anything I have ever smelt. I need to tell her sad what the hell do I say?? WWUD? Repeat thread as may get better advice on here.

There's definitely a way to do it - breezy, chatty, but no-nonsense. I remember jogging over to a friend's house after a whole day out in the sun. I took my trainers off in her hallway, and she said 'oh, Tighna, your feet stink - get those trotters washed immediately!' And I wasn't offended at all, just ran upstairs to her bathroom, got clean and came back down again (in clean bare feet) and she gave me a pair of socks to wear, and the offending trainers were left outside her back door. if you are close there's a way to get the message across.

I will hold my hand up to say I've not read the whole thread, but the 'fish' thing can be a sign of a UTI, even with no other current symptoms. Is it possible the smell in the cubicle was the aftermath of her having a wee? Maybe a suggestion that she speaks to her GP would be a place to start

Mitchems is in a green bottle in Boots. it's brilliant, the roll on can be used and last way more than a day's use.
Maybe you could buy one and when your in the loo offer her some of yours, if she thinks you worry about BO as well it may make her get one herself.

my dcousin is like this. I've never been able to tell her. she has got better recently. I suspect her dh has been telling her to wash more often.
Your friends fishy smell is her fanjo not being washed and her probably having some sort of infection down there. If she smells this bad im surprised noone else has said something to her.

Did you go out again OP? Did she smell better? Was she ok with you, would be sad if your friendship suffered because of it. You're very brave, not sure I'd be able to say anything!
