To not wash in the morning?

I start very early - usually before 7 - and often don't get back till about half nine so I shower then. Then in the morning I just put my uniform on and go. AIBU?

If I have a night shower I don't bother in the morning but couldn't go out without washing pits n bits,

Clutch your pearls Mumsnetters because I only shower every other day...or sometimes every third day. Never had any complaints.

How does your fanjo not smell after the first day without a shower?

It doesn't smell Confused apart from how a normal, healthy vagina smells. I don't use soap or shower gel there anyway

I'm confused. Do the morning showerers also shower at night? If not, if you have sex at night are you clean from your day? I shower at night but would only shower in the morning too if I'd had sex.

I always shower after exercise though, regardless of time of day.

GrinGrin not after a 12 hour shift in a hospital during the heatwave we had. It was 39 degrees on the ward I worked on. If I hadn't showered for three days then my fanjo would of come with its own health warning ⚠️

To all the people that think showering twice a day is normal or not showering every morning is gross - when did this begin? Have you always lived in a house with a shower and hot water, every day, always? As a child?

In my experience, lots of people live in a house without a shower in it at all. Many further people have a shower now but have lived in houses that did not have one, I'm one of those. There was no shower in my house when I was a teen or young adult. For one memorable period of months there was no hot water as well as no shower. Of course I have also been camping, been to festibals, stayed in hostels, with friends etc where a shower has been either not an option or a very undesirable one.

Are you telling me that when you are elderly and can't manage it yourself you are going to pay a carer to come in and help you shower twice a DAY? Have you decided that all elderly people and people with disabilities are gross because they can manage a sit down wash but not a shower?

So many variables. So little time.

I think there's a direct correlation between the downturn in church attendance and the upturn in showering in the last 40 years. Showering is the new religion.

So if you don't shower at night, does that mean you crawl into bed and have sex w no showering before or after ?? That would be uti central for me.

Do you mean strip washing?
I think people think if you don't shower then you don't wash at all. If you are strip washing it's basically the same. These threads always get confusing because of this

Sometimes I shower twice a day, sometimes I don't shower between Friday and Monday morning.

I used to shower at night, but now my hair is short I shower in the morning as a) it takes less time to wash and style, and b) bed head is easier to hide with long hair (ponytail and you're grand).

As long as you're not inflicting horrible body odour on me during my commute, I don't give a fuck how often anyone else showers.

Brings to mind the 6 months I spent living in an old "grandmother cottage" where there was no shower (and no bath as they're rarer than hen's teeth here) the only way to wash was in the sauna where there was a cauldron you could heat water in using a wood fire. This would take a lot of wood (heating the sauna and the cauldron would take a whole banana crate full of wood!) and time and effort so I only washed twice a week - washing yourself by scooping ladles of water over yourself is not a quick and easy way to wash!

I have worked with a couple of whiffy folk with BO. I don't want to be the whiffy person. So I boil myself in a pool of molten zoflora....anyone who doesn't is gross and a disgusting specimen!

Only I can't see how you would think just having a quick wash and spraying on body spray would make you clean after having had sex and got sweaty the night before?!🤢

If you have an active sex life with your partner then you really need to shower in the evening before bed and in the morning after sex and sleep.

I can assure you that you may think you don't sweat much having sex or a quick wash in the morning wipes all traces/smells but it really won't! 🤢

an active sex life takes many forms - not all of them make you sweaty, and some can involve showering - before, during or after.
