to think the Sun must have something big on Ant from Ant and Dec?

He's sold his story to them (with no need to do so financially) and now the daily heil is now full of gossip about his wife not being around for his release from rehab. I reckon they've got something they're about to spill imminently and his poor wife has just been tipped off.

Poor Lisa.

it's interesting in as much as it illustrates the way the media works- he's not a fame hungry wannabe, his agent / pr person if they're worth anything wouldn't advise allying themselves with the Sun.

I do genuinely feel sorry for her though if he's about to be exposed for something. They've been together a long time.

Celebrities often sell stories when the vultures are circling and it's better to make sure you control the 'exclusive' rather than be hounded by the Scum, Fail and similar.

I don't envy them. And none of it is the 'truth'. And none of it is our business.

Wasn't he in detox/rehab for painkiller addiction? Is he out now?

It's a tiny bit mean to speculate TBH. Poor guy doesn't seem to be having a very good year.

I was suspicious as soon as he gave that exclusive to The Sun. It seemed very out of character for someone like him. I assumed he'd had an affair and the paper agreed to keep the story secret in exchange for the rehab exclusive. Don't a lot of male celebrities go into rehab for alcohol/drug/sex addiction as soon as their wife finds out about an affair?

I think it's just a case of the sun found out about the addiction and he could either let them run the story, which would have been angled as very negative which could damage his career, or he could give them an exclusive and have a say in how the article(s) were written and make sure it was more fluffy and protected his career. I don't think there's anything dark lurking.

Well,its the same old, same old. stuff, re the newspapers and SUN Especially, as in, they know the paper will sell big if its something to do with a so called celebrity.. I am like a lot of people. I quite like Ant and Dec,, but not bothered about their lifestyles really,,, and sometimes it seems that its par for course that big money celebrities go haywire at times, re drugs, alcohol. marriage problems and such, Sounds a bit like my life really, ha ha..

People surely would not get so invested in this so called celebrity stuff,if it wasn't for the papers and magazines etc.

Oh god. Has anyone read that thinly vailed article in the DM today? The one where his mum has come to live with him after rehab. The article is studded with speculation.

I hope The Scum don't have anything on him.
Poor Ant!!! You can be as rich as you like but pain and anxiety can break a person and no amount of money can stop that !
I think they've both fine we'll to go unscathed from celeb-dom for so long!

I really hope they make it. You can have all the money in the world but you can ultimately have the same problems as other couples the same age. They've had it rough and I hope they pull through.

Do you know he doesn't need the money? He may have spent a fortune on his addictions and private rehab and be facing a costly divorce.

Yeah it's definitely looking like an affair. No need for these exclusives he would of issued a statement if just to own it.

Why hoping they pull through? If he's a cheater I don't see how it can ever be fixed and put back together.

Morphine is much stronger and more addictive than coke. I don't think he's been playing down his addiction.

The Sun broke the fact he'd gone into rehab. The fact is they could have been promised the post-treatment exclusive to tread relatively kindly with their front page when he went in. Agents would encourage this because the Saturday Night Takeaway / I'm a Celeb demographic is very much tied in with The Sun readership and they'd want to ensure viewers were on-side.

A cynical person might think The Mail is sticking the boot in exactly because they DIDNT get the exclusive.

Either way it's a desperately sad situation and I feel sorry for them both. It's that thing - it's not in the public interest, but sadly it's of interest to the public so papers print this guff because it sells.

Tramadol is wicked stuff,I got hooked after a similar injury. It only took 3 weeks or daily use. If I didn't take them I was climbing the walls like someone out of Trainspotting,it was awful,I didn't take them to get high,I had to take them to function. Luckily I was just able to come off them slowly and it only took a month. Poor man.

There was a blind gossip story recently about very possibly about him and drug dealers. It mentioned that a tabloid had lots of dirt. I don't believe the painkillers version either.

People will be more understanding of addiction to painkillers than coke. His Saturday night ITV entertainment image can survive pain pills but party drugs are a different thing.
