He's sold his story to them (with no need to do so financially) and now the daily heil is now full of gossip about his wife not being around for his release from rehab. I reckon they've got something they're about to spill imminently and his poor wife has just been tipped off.

Poor Lisa.

They are both from Essex. The whole Geordie thing is a lie.

ilovegin112 · 19/08/2017 08:16

I don't know if the face fits you can literally get away with murder

CockacidalManiac · 19/08/2017 08:21

There was a blind gossip story recently about very possibly about him and drug dealers. It mentioned that a tabloid had lots of dirt. I don't believe the painkillers version either.

The Popbitch one?

JaneEyre70 · 19/08/2017 08:32

I read the DM article and thought there's trouble brewing here. It's very sad he's ended up in rehab and far worse that it's all been so public for them. It takes a strong marriage to survive an addiction and the aftermath.

ziggzagg · 19/08/2017 08:34

Don't know I wouldn't wipe my arse on it!!

ForalltheSaints · 19/08/2017 08:37

Shouldn't we leave them in peace?

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 19/08/2017 08:43

Whatever it is I hope it means they are now going to be off the tv!

RandomDent · 19/08/2017 08:51

"Painkiller addiction" used to be a media euphemism for coke or more, but that could have changed.

travellinglighter · 19/08/2017 08:57

The other issue was diet. We go on about the horrors of rationing but for the very poor, rationing was amazing. You were given meat, cheese milk and an egg every week. You never got it before the war. The population after the war was an awful lot healthier than it was before the war.

GherkinSnatch · 19/08/2017 08:58

YABU to read the Sun.

Maidupmum · 19/08/2017 09:02

Don't buy The Sun #JFT96

I'm with you scrumptious. I think they might have been caught together and then that led to the drug taking.

Ijustwantaquietlife · 19/08/2017 09:10

Ooh weres the war diet thread? I've been saying that for years put keep getting poo pooed on mn. Then all of a sudden several reports show it, happens all the time on mn!

Rinkydinkypink · 19/08/2017 09:10

Don't underestimate the affects of Tramadol. It's extremely addictive and once your body needs it the comedown off it is horrendous which is why it can so easily lead to other illegal drugs to ease the stress. Before you know it you've got a big addiction problem. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. To have this going on and be such a public figure must be dreadful for everyone. The Sun (and other papers) will feed off others problems to pay the bills. It's a horrible situation for everyone and whatever had or is happening I wish them all well. Fame on their level is my idea of hell

Was this meant for another thread? Not getting the ant and Dec connection. Also the poor still had to pay for their rations. They didn't get given them. They had to pay but were limited to what they had ration pages for.

howthelightgetsin · 19/08/2017 09:17

I want them to pull through (assuming neither one of them has done something awful) because I think they've been through a shit time with the infertility. I can see it in friends and I think it can take your relationship to the brink. Can't help but think how much worse it must be to be famous and have people asking you for years about babies. Also the comments on daily fail etc about her weight and things are so sad.
I think they love each other a lot and have gone through a rough time, that's all. Without knowing much about it of course.

PhilODox · 19/08/2017 09:18

Confused at the thought of being given your rations each week...

DressedCrab · 19/08/2017 09:20

Whatever's gone on it's none of my business. Why are some people so nosy?

Nanna50 · 19/08/2017 09:21

I don't understand why he has given an exclusive or talked to the papers at all. The media love these guys so I'm sure he could have weathered any storm.

And he'll be off to the jungle soon, I feel for his wife though as she will have been without him for months by the time he returns.

RebeccaWrongDaily · 19/08/2017 09:28

he's already 'owned' his addiction, people will/have forgiven that, Even though he's alluded to the 'i got addicted to prescription drugs and then took everything I could get my hands on' People would forgive that stuff and even if they didn't, at his income he's no need to work again and would be snapped up by another channel if he was too hot to handle for ITV iyswim?

He allegedly earned £15m LAST YEAR alone.

How much of a big star do you need to be to be able to say 'bollocks to you tabloid press, do your worst?'

OP posts:
Hulababy · 19/08/2017 09:32

I think many people try to underplay how strong some prescription drugs are and how addictive they are. And the more you take the more you need to maintain the same level of pain relief.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 19/08/2017 09:32

Definitely something brewing. I expect this time next week, we will know exactly what it is.

Whileweareonthesubject · 19/08/2017 09:34

I haven't read the story but, if as people here are suggesting, the painkillers concerned included tramadol, I can well believe it. I had it once. Took one tablet and was basically knocked out for a week. I thought I'd had a bad reaction to it, but when I notified my gp, I was told that as tramadol is only one step down from morphine, my reaction wasn't unusual. Out of 100 tablets I only ever took one. MIL on the other hand, used to eat them like sweets with seemingly no side effects. It was a stay in hospital to sort out the health issue that she needed them for, that cut down her intake over a short period of time, otherwise I wouldn't have been surprised if she'd become addicted.

If that's what caused Ant's problems, I feel very sorry for him.
