Going to just dip back in, sorry for derail.

I was very sorry to realise who you were just as you left the last London meet up MsHoolies especially as we had been at one together on the river before.

That sinking feeling that you can't guarantee your children's future will float back up.

Because these people here will win in the end.

For everyone else, Gin is not always the answer.

It would be strange not to despair occasionally mshoolie, the scale of the transgressions is hard to take.

But the previous lovely posters are right - I think there are more who value love and tolerance than don't, and we will keep persisting. All this horror is the pushback to progress made recently but don't forget that there'll be pushback to that too. It's shaken us out of our complacency and I think people now realise what is worth valuing and made us fight for a better world for everyone.

If he loses McConnell then he has some........difficulties. They'll raise the debt ceiling (they couldn't not) but everything else is a matter of conjecture.

We're watching Maddow. Sounds like the Scrotus/McConnell contretemps may have some 'ramifications'. Rachel said "And certain high placed GOP are not afraid of using the word 'impeachment'".

I'm wide awake watching the Phoenix rally. He is batshit crazy! Going over his tweets about Charlottesville and slating the 'fake news'. Disgraceful!

I'm holidaying in USA and glued to the TV tonight.
Trump seems to have several major current issues:

  1. "Selectively quoting" his non- condemnation of white supremacy violence (or lying as they are calling it on TV here)
  2. Not attending funeral of woman tragically killed in above
  3. Advisor Icahn investigated for making millions out of the advice he's given.
  4. Russia Russia Russia. 40 K pages of documents released today.
  5. Angering lots of Republicans and threatening to close down government
  6. Losing lots of staff / advisors
  7. Not actually passing any laws yet (thankfully!)
  8. Pardoning this white supremacist sheriff Joe.

PS Secret service have spent 12 months budget already apparently, having to pay to stay in Trump hotels!

He's such a gas lighter - starts and ends his speech with calls for America to "come together", but mid speech attacks the media/democrats threatens to shut The Government down over his bloody wall, etc.

Just came on here before going on Twitter to see what's been going on in Phoenix etc... sounds like the orange buffoon is talking gibberish to his fanbase again then.

Have to add too - can thoroughly recommend Rhubarb and Ginger Gin. One of the DCs bought it as an under the tree present last year - they know me too well!

This guy is pretty reliable on Twitter, looks like his rally was a wash out?
