To want to shoot my friend

liverbird10 · 15/08/2017 12:46

...for naming his daughter Tinkerbell?

I know I am actually BU as it's none of my business etc. Also shooting people is generally not the way to approach such matters.

I feel so sorry for the poor kid. She's going to go through torture at school. Not to mention thee rest of her life. Imagine a high court judge called Tinkerbell.

I'll get the gun...

Starlighter · 15/08/2017 12:48

I'll provide the alibi...

TieGrr · 15/08/2017 12:49

I'm sure I've a few bullets around here somewhere...

53rdWay · 15/08/2017 12:50

YANBU, you can't shoot him. Too much forensic evidence. Have you considered some kind of swift-acting poison?

GrumpyInsomniac · 15/08/2017 12:50

I'm just impressed that the baby is showing such an early vocation for the Law.

...but I've got a shovel to help dispose of the body...

Skittlesandbeer · 15/08/2017 12:50

I've got a spot down the bottom of my garden...where he can spend eternity with all the other fairies.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 15/08/2017 12:50

I can help destroy evidence?

pigsDOfly · 15/08/2017 12:51

Do you think he's winding you up or has the poor child actually been named.

Do you need some rope to tie him up before you shoot him?

Cupcakey · 15/08/2017 12:51

I'm with you, the poor baby.

BenLui · 15/08/2017 12:52

Goodness, that's erm a bold choice. Shock

At least she can change it to "Belle" as she gets older.

IdentifiesAsASloth · 15/08/2017 12:52

I came here to say you are overly dramatic, but now I've read your op I feel like I should probably help you out with the shooting

Revenant · 15/08/2017 12:52

Have you told him she will be known as Stinkerbell at school?

Sparklingbrook · 15/08/2017 12:52

I bet when he goes to register the birth it will be Shock faces all round.

OliviaStabler · 15/08/2017 12:52

You can't have done it, you were with me all evening Grin

MargaretTwatyer · 15/08/2017 12:53

I imagine she will be called Belle or Bella pretty damn soon/

MargaretTwatyer · 15/08/2017 12:54

I have a cat called Tinkerbell. My kids call him Stinky Tinky

PandorasXbox · 15/08/2017 12:54

No way.

A chihuahua maybe but not a human.

Shock
LoyaltyAndLobster · 15/08/2017 12:55

That's right OP it's none of your business, she is not your daughter.

liverbird10 · 15/08/2017 12:55

pigsDOfly Sadly for "Tinky", her dad is not winding me up. Sad

WIBU to hit him with a brick, if shooting is off the cards?

PinkHeart5911 · 15/08/2017 12:56

I've a patch at the bottom of my garden that's perfect for hiding any evidence

That poor child, I think some parents just don't think long term when naming. Why didn't they give the child a normal name and just call it tinkerbell as some weird nickname?

Although my younger brother was at school with someone named Dipsy, he now has a very high flying job but calls himself a normal/sane name think Dave. Wedding was good "Do you take dipsy to be your dh"

RamsayBoltonsConscience · 15/08/2017 12:56

I can already imagine the hysterical laughter and rolled eyes in the staff room when she starts school! I've watched Breaking Bad, plastic bath and acid?

elephantoverthehill · 15/08/2017 12:56

Will the child have a middle she can revert to something like Jane or Anne?

JsOtherHalf · 15/08/2017 12:56

When we registered DS, the registrar was relieved we named him a name that wasn't uncommon, with the usual spelling.
Earlier they'd had to register a child named after film character... of a different gender.

Sunshinegirls · 15/08/2017 12:57

She can be besties with star cloud!

PinkHeart5911 · 15/08/2017 12:57

Please say they don't call her Tinky That is worse than tinkerbell it sounds like a dog or cat name
