Just that really, I just feel that sometimes everything feels like it set up to help the dull.. Hang around for ages and you get promoted, don't have any interests or a social life, get a great credit rating, stay in one house for years and all the banks trust you, don't ever stick out, don't ever get hassled etc etc etc. .

Meh, I'm starting to feel like the self obsessed lazy users get further in life so long as they're charming and physically attractive..and the dull hard working rule-followers generally don't. been feeling pretty salty and hard done by this weekend

MelsMam · 12/08/2017 20:57

Oh, I haved moved in years

Must be a dull fucker

Themostannoyingperson · 12/08/2017 20:58

Yes! YANBU.
Brevity was the most exciting thing to happen for them.
Hence many of them of them have become more interesting now.

JustHereForThePooStories · 12/08/2017 20:58

I love my dull life. I sleep amazingly with the contentment stability brings.

PurpleDaisies · 12/08/2017 20:58

So she's happy and you're envious...

How does that mean life is set up to favour all "dull" people?

DancingLedge · 12/08/2017 20:59

'knowing what happens next'
Wow, we are really living in different universes.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 12/08/2017 20:59

I just think low income should go to people who actually want a get up work go to bed life

Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds?

Str4ngedaysindeed · 12/08/2017 20:59

I understand you. One of my brothers in-law has lived in the same house all his married life, never been abroad, has more money that they know what to with and are incredibly dull and miserable! To be honest though, I'd rather be us, getting by, doing average and having some brilliant holidays. Crappy old car and falling apart house - but actually a lot happier

drinkingtea · 12/08/2017 21:00

Ah scaryclown - I've seen your posts before Grin nobody's quite as good as you at anything, and things never work out your way because everyone is jealous...

Is that right?

scaryclown · 12/08/2017 21:00

I do mean it. The way if you are good, and do what you are told and don't question and don't do anything spontaneously, you seem to get loads of things going your way..

OP posts:
PacificDogwod · 12/08/2017 21:00

Ah, envy - such a negative feeling.
Sucks the joy of life right out of you.
Never compare yourself to others - you do no know what else goes on in their lives.

MagdaS · 12/08/2017 21:01

I never promote dullards.

PacificDogwod · 12/08/2017 21:01

Life does not owe you a thing.
And yes, life can be shit and unfair and seemingly against you.
Life just does not care and that can be galling.

Maybe you need to ask yourself why things are not going your way and what you might be able to change to change that?

scaryclown · 12/08/2017 21:02

I just think it's a waste, people who are happy doing nothing should be paid the least as that's their market need, but quite often they are paid a lot but struggle to see why they need it. That's weird to me.

Sparklingbrook · 12/08/2017 21:02

Do what makes you happy. Life isn't a rehearsal.

SilverySurfer · 12/08/2017 21:03

Ah I get it now, the OP is all about jealousy and envy - both very unattractive traits.

Somerford · 12/08/2017 21:03

I don't really know where to start with this utter babble, OP. Clearly you are making bad choices and then blaming the world for the consequences. Stop making bad choices and you won't be so embittered.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 12/08/2017 21:03

Comparison is the thief of joy.

TheFaerieQueene · 12/08/2017 21:03

Yet another fucking awful thread. What is happening MN?

AlternativeTentacle · 12/08/2017 21:03

I just think low income should go to people who actually want a get up work go to bed life. I choose something else...

What is that exactly? You think it is easy honing this pale and uninteresting life? You know nothing.

scaryclown · 12/08/2017 21:04

It's not about me, it's a wider observation. I just think that if I set up a company the dullards would get paid less than the stars you know, front of house staff more than warehouse people, sales people more than excel monkeys etc etc

PurpleDaisies · 12/08/2017 21:04

I'm sure they'd say that having rainy day emergency savings gives them lots of comfort and they can pass it on to their children.

Clearly you'd like savings or you wouldn't have written your post.

ExplodedCloud · 12/08/2017 21:04

Whereas you with your towering abilities should be paid well to do what makes you happy?

Slimthistime · 12/08/2017 21:05

Oh scary, I was wondering how you were.
Have things improved from the last time you posted? Not considering theft or anything? Did you get to see a different therapist?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 12/08/2017 21:05

You say she's a 'friend'...but you are describing someone you really don't like. Why is that?
