Winotimo · 07/08/2017 14:59

Maybe they were fuming you had the nerve to poo in their toilet and locked you in until the smell passed 😂😂😂 hahah only joking OP have a look for some chargers or a landline and write down numbers you need for when you lose power

RhiWrites · 07/08/2017 14:59

Back door? Ground floor window? Houses aren't prisons.

IloveBanff · 07/08/2017 14:59

It's a 3 mile bike ride from your neighbours' house to your own? Shock

NoMoreDecorating · 07/08/2017 15:00

You're their neighbour but live 3 miles away? I semi believed you until then.

Salmotrutta · 07/08/2017 15:00

Are you very rural then if your neighbour's are 3 miles away??!

Calliwalli · 07/08/2017 15:00

Huh?? How can you have a chat over the gate if your house is 3 miles away??

YorkieDorkie · 07/08/2017 15:00

Ummm... are the fish okay?

HarrietKettleWasHere · 07/08/2017 15:00

If they were in a rush to get out I cannot imagine why they would accost a random neighbour for three hours to feed fish that can probably be fine for five days or more with a block and instead of packing the last of their things and getting out, they feed you coffee and scones. They don't mention the doors/keys/alarm code. Then they rush out and leave, and you don't hear them, in the time it takes me you to have a poo (I would have hung on till I got home)

I cannot picture this happening at all.

RedBlu · 07/08/2017 15:00

When we lived in a flat in a somewhat dodgy area, two brothers lived in the flat next to ours. Both druggies but friendly enough. They were constantly at the door asking to borrow a few pounds, DVD's, CD's, food, washing powder, asking for lifts to various places. We usually said no or didn't answer the door.

We drew the line when we had a DVD go missing that we had rented from LoveFilm (the ones that they use to send you in the post) and it turned out that it had been accidently posted to the neighbours and they had opened it, watched it and gave it to us three weeks later (after much arguments with LoveFilm who wanted to charge us to replace it)

They did a midnight runner one night, leaving their flat full of their stuff. Weird!

MaidOfStars · 07/08/2017 15:01

They didn't have anyone closer than 3 miles away to ask to feed their fish???

Butterforgloss · 07/08/2017 15:01

Your neighbours live three miles away? Do you live in the outback?

BigApples · 07/08/2017 15:01

Search for some BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit to keep you going.

RedBlu · 07/08/2017 15:01

Oops sorry wrong thread!

ClothEaredBint · 07/08/2017 15:01

call 101 and explain, see if they have any ideas.

Use their house phone.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 07/08/2017 15:04

Texting DH to pick up scones on his way home from work.

If this is true then you probably should see if they have a landline to call for help if there's an emergency and your phone gives out.
And maybe see if someone can check they haven't posted envelope through your house door if they forgot you were at theirs or something.

cravingcake · 07/08/2017 15:04

Incredible internet speed to be able to update MN for somewhere rural enough that a neighbor lives 3 miles away.

But I'm bored and this is highly amusing thread

PuppyMonkey · 07/08/2017 15:04

You have a strange understanding of the term "neighbour" OP.

happypoobum · 07/08/2017 15:04

OP, this is why you should never poo in other people's houses!!!

Why are you describing them as neighbours when they live 3 miles from you? Are you in 1762?

LagunaBubbles · 07/08/2017 15:05

So she's good enough to look after their goldfish but not to take a dump in their home??

Lweji · 07/08/2017 15:05

I'd ring the fire department to get you out.

augustrat · 07/08/2017 15:05

Let's cut to the chase. Do you have a JustGiving account we can donate to?

littlemisssweetness · 07/08/2017 15:05

I'm confused as to how their your neighbours, and see them when you take the bins out..... but its 3miles to get back to your place Confused

This place has gone batshit since the weekend

ButchyRestingFace · 07/08/2017 15:06

You have a strange understanding of the term "neighbour" OP.

I imagine people who live very rurally refer to those living closest to them as "neighbours".

Why wouldn't they? Confused
