I can't even understood what's happened!! They've locked me in their house and set the alarm! What the fuck do I do now ???

So my friend turned up about an hour ago. Ive had a smoke using the utility room window was either that or the letterbox

so "June" rang the landline !!

They found the envelope whilst on the coach! after a good chuckle with them they are sending out their grandson with a spare key. Apparently he lived here whilst renovating the place before they moved In.

My friend was fucking useless I couldn't speak to her for at least 15 minutes as she couldn't talk for laughing and snap chatting the whole situation especially after I had told her about this post!

June couldnt be more apolagetic albeit completely embarrassed and traumatised!
She's told me I can help myself to anything I need and so I've so far had some micro chips and a pot noodle. There's a opened bottle of Pinot in the fridge and I've helped myself to a glass.

So now I'm currently sat on top of the dryer next to the window having another cig with a glass of wine in hand.

So yes it's been eventful and fucking boring without my phone !!

I took it upon myself to complete a half built Kallax unit though that was in the utility room. There's about 10 other flatpacks too but il leave those for the next episode Grin

Jesus how does this even happen I can't cope!

AIBU to not get why some people are so weird at the idea of using a toilet for its intended purpose?

DH once went to work and locked me into our top floor flat. He turned the lock when he left without thinking and I couldn't unlock it from inside. Luckily there was a bus stop outside so I had to yell at someone waiting and chuck my keys down. They let me out and didn't murder me, unlike what I did to DH later

TeacherKS1 · 07/08/2017 17:47

How did June know you were in the house op?

DragonBone · 07/08/2017 17:47

Lol ! Awesome read 😆

I once locked myself out with a fucking IKEA delivery. I didn't even have my phone! I had to beg the poor Ikea bloke to let me call my mum who then called my husband (I couldn't remember his mobile number) who then rushed the hour commute home...

Genius! GrinGrinGrin

MissBax · 07/08/2017 17:49

So did they intentionally lock up knowing you were still in there?!

Davenotdave · 07/08/2017 17:49

You're building their flat pack furniture?! I've got a newborn, my pelvic floor can't handle this much laughing

Salmotrutta · 07/08/2017 17:50

Teacher - June found the envelope with the keys when they were in the coach...

But OP - did June say why they left you in there? Did they forget? Did they think you had just rudely left without telling them?

So many questions....

YorkieDorkie · 07/08/2017 17:50

Very clever OP... drip fed a dying phone battery and is probably now loving that dozens of MNers are waiting for an update without having to keep up any pretence!

ToothTrauma · 07/08/2017 17:50

I'm glad you're going to be rescued!

DH once went to work and left his keys in the other side of the door. We had no letterbox and I couldn't poke them out. He had to come home while I peered through the small window like a hawk to make sure nobody noticed the keys!

When I rang in to work they were seriously Hmm but it was true!!

JustGettingStarted · 07/08/2017 17:50

I was once locked in my high rise flat with 3 children under 4 because the new 5 point locking door wouldn't open.

Only escape would have been across scaffolding via the balcony which I didn't fancy much.

Man eventually arrived 2 hours later to let me out. Opened it from the outside, but not quite believing that I had been locked in came inside and closed the door.

Then there were 5 of us locked in for another 2 hours until someone else arrived. He had to take the door off to get us out.

squattingposition · 07/08/2017 17:52

@TeacherKS1 well I'm assuming that when Richard pulled the key out of his anorak pocket and June calmed down after losing her shit at him again that they discussed the fact neither one of them had seen me off before locking up !!! Hmm
