That's the point of the thread though, isn't it? How ridiculous these stereotypes are?

That was how I read it, and I was taking the piss out of some stupid stereotypes. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to get into serious discussions about feminism, but I don't know how appropriate it is to get involved in what is effectively women's space.

TheSolitaryBoojum · 07/08/2017 20:44

Well, in the 70s it was a bit like that. Blunt instrument to smash the stereotype of what a woman should behave, look, sound and think like.
It wasn't really a time of subtle nuances and endless waves of different flavours of feminism. Many of us were too focused on basic human rights that we didn't have. One of the programmes that opened my daughter's eyes to my teenage years was 'It was alright in the 70s'

PavlovianLunge

Please, please, please take the piss as much as you want. I am on the run from earnest sincerity. I was hoping for a bit of a laugh.

Don't worry about me though. There is a thread about spunk and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Double entendre anyone?

Okay, more man-fails.

  • I loathe Jeremy Clarkson.
  • I watch Grey's Anatomy.
  • I love Bargain Hunt and Judge Rinder.
  • My all time favourite songs include Baby One More Time and Running Up That Hill.
  • Pretty much all my favourite singers are female.
  • I have two Little Mix albums.
  • My favourite shoes are pink with yellow soles.
  • I do the ironing.
  • I had a little cry at the start of Up.

I need to man up and grow a pair. Hmm Grin

Moussemoose · 07/08/2017 20:57

PavlovianLunge You're gay right?

PavlovianLunge · 07/08/2017 21:13

Might be. Hmm Shock Grin

PavlovianLunge · 07/08/2017 21:13

But I like football. Gay-fail.

PavlovianLunge · 07/08/2017 21:14

Oh, and I think LGB and T should have a conscious uncoupling. (This isn't always a popular opinion.)

Moussemoose · 07/08/2017 21:20

PavlovianLunge
conscious uncoupling now I know you're not gay cos you're talking dirty to me.

I think I win the worst feminist competition for that comment alone.Grin

Steady on, mousse, you'll have me reevaluating my lifestyle choices. Blush

DioneTheDiabolist · 07/08/2017 22:25

Which one of us is the worst feminist?
I don't know but Rock, Paper, Scissors is probably the correct way to settle it.Smile

PussyPatronus · 07/08/2017 22:31

I'm a bit Confused.

Arealhumanbeing · 07/08/2017 23:58

I am a radical feminist.

I wax my fanny.

I would have a boob job if it weren't for the general anesthetic.

I want Botox.

I am NOT going into what I like in bed but I have been informed that it is unfeminist. BlushBlushBlush

I did do the career/high income in a male dominated profession thing but walked away in the end.

I would NEVER call another woman a crap feminist but I think I am.

Good thread OP.

Morphene · 08/08/2017 01:06

I too would be very happy for LGB to go a different way to T.
