Several cable ties may be better than just one ?! Really tight so no wiggle room to open door enough to snip them
.

ClashCityRocker · 30/07/2017 13:10

Poor op. Seriously gorilla glue is a fucker to get off...

Raindancer411 · 30/07/2017 13:12

Would nail polish remover help to loosen any remaining stickiness from the tape??

Helentwinsplus1 · 30/07/2017 13:12

I stayed up rather late catching up! In my defence I had my own boundary issue to deal with. My toddler, having taken up residence on my side of the bed decided to encroach on the side of the bed I had rented from his dad (for the price of a good nights sleep downstairs). It wasn't possible to sleep

Suspect OP is nursing a sore head, I shall eagerly await updates in between dealing with the puke covered washing caused by the afformentioned toddler.

Is there anyway of finding out online who has bought the flat? Just thinking if it turns out to be a property developer she might be able to find details of them online.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 30/07/2017 13:13

OP just in case this helps www.facebook.com/GorillaGlue/videos/1221202465123

Helentwinsplus1 · 30/07/2017 13:14

Oh and on the tape front, I doubt any self respecting police officer would take her to task over it. At the end of the day it's a bit of tape and I'm sure that they have seen far far worse!

Pigflewpast · 30/07/2017 13:16

THE TAPE WILL BE FINE COME BACK AND START A NEW THREAD

Hippywannabe · 30/07/2017 13:16

This has been the thread of gold. I have never been more glad to be on the school holidays.
Even better, DH will be back at work at 6am tomorrow AND I still have loads of boxes of chocolates to eat.
My to-do list may just consist of mumsnetting.

Pigflewpast · 30/07/2017 13:17

Sorry for shouting, slightly over invested. (And now singing bohemian rhapsody)

MandateMandy · 30/07/2017 13:17

So we have been trying to find a campsite that is not already fully booked - how about me and my kids grab our tent and pop it up right in front of the doors - my kids think they are camping in a stately home/play park (thanks to bouncy castle) and you get a particularly feisty 3 year old guard toddler whilst you are at work?? I'm pretty sure me and Ken will get on like a house on fire given his capacity to furnish me with wine. Grin

Vango · 30/07/2017 13:18

Poor thing. In my mind's eye (in keeping with the Shakespearean theme) she out there now sawing through Gorilla tape with a blunt old kitchen knife while friend keeps watch from the front door.

Aaaargh: ONLY 80 COMMENTS LEFT UNTIL THREAD FULL

C8H10N4O2 · 30/07/2017 13:21

30 countries now watching this thread (but no Korean rep sadly).

I have to nip out shortly - if I miss start of thread #7 pls PM me with a link and I'll add it to the board

Stillonthatbloodycomputer · 30/07/2017 13:21

OMG I've just found 'the board' it's brilliant.......op what has your CFN done, do they have any idea of the power of mnetters. I really really understand why you friend has gone to town with the gorilla tape, but please be careful because you are now touching their property ( it's part of their home whether we / you like it or not) but more importantly you're going to have to live with the fall out from this, although everyone hear ( I don't count newdaddie) is so on your side we can walk away safe in the knowledge is not our life that's directly affected. Love n stuff from the highlands . Ps would you like me to see if I can get someone to come and play the bagpipes outside CFN doors . My typing so slow I fear my message will be way out of date before too long

Hugger

She's lovely! I've never heard of that breed, ever, so am quite excited to find out about such a rarity.

On your second pic it's apparent she isn't a spaniel, bur I would have guessed at a spaniel cross. Now I am much better educated. Smile

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/07/2017 13:25

that bottle of pinot grigio is more than half empty

Well, at least you haven't been totally idle C8

mummyofmoomoos · 30/07/2017 13:26

If theres sticky yuck left and you want it off, full fat mayo smeared on and left for an hour them wiped off usually does the trick- my kids love stickers and glue- i love mayo!

TheMaddHugger · 30/07/2017 13:27

SchadenfreudePersonified The breed she is often get mistaken for Spaniel X breeds

even locals don't know about them much so I tend to 'waffle' on about them 😎

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 30/07/2017 13:28

Was singing Abba's Chiquitita and Cheeky Neighbour kept popping into my head.

Cheeky neighbour, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained my own duct tape
Iiiiiiiii-in my eyes there is no hope of your entry
How I hate to see your shit doors
There is no way they're not illegal
Iiiiiiiiiiiiii can see that your kitchen is so tasteless

Cheeky neighbour, tell me the truth
I'm not a shoulder you can cry on
Myyyyyyy best friend, is the one I can rely on
You are not sure of planning law
Now I see you've broken a window
Iiiiiiiiii hope you can patch it up together

BOOM CHORUS

Cheeky neighbour you and I know
How the builders come and they go and the fags they are leaving
You'll be paying once again
And the pain won't end
Planning won't give you time for grieving
Etc.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/07/2017 13:29

Mind you, Hugger - I didn't know that Australia ran to ducks.

If it had been the Australian Curly-Coated Venomous Insect Retriever, or the Australian Curly-Coated Poisonous Reptile Retriever, or the Australian Curly-Coated Aquatic Predator Retriever, I would have found it much more believable.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/07/2017 13:30
