Is there an actual bouncy castle coming or did I dream that? This thread is so surreal at times I can't remember what's real life and what's fantasy!

Eucalyptus oil also removes the glue if you have some around...

I wouldn't even cable ties on the door to be honest. The door, annoying as it is, is their property and you don't really want to be touching it. Putting something in front of it on your own property however is a different story...

Re bouncy castle: well, OP may be installing a RL one, for the enjoyment of assorted MNers' small kids, but probably depends on how much space (RL) SpanGran/ Abuela takes up with her outsize paella pan.

(There again, it might just stay safely within the realms of our imaginations...who knows? Am buggered if I do!).

I agree Vango Possibly she and her friend had a glass too many last night and the tape seemed a good idea (and I think it is, FWIW, but I am not a lawyer).

However we know that she has contacted all of the appropriate bodies involved in this type of chicanery, has NOT made unnecessary 999 calls, and is being very sensible regarding her own rights and vulnerability.

She is not an idiot, or a child.

I'm on the next door neighbour's fence about the tape. I don't think the cfns would dare take her to task over it, having illegally accessed her garden - twice! That said, I'd have no hesitation using a cable tie which is probably more easily broken with force.
