Just to clear up the fire escape issue. My friend has a flat that overlooks ndn garden. Being arseholes they blocked the window from outside. She invited the fire service to visit and comment. Turns out there is no right to escape even though it's the only way out the back of the flat. Fireman said you are only expected to be able to exit through front door
