Cute

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/07/2017 15:52

Tacky, but my 9 year old still likes them and spends her birthday money on them.

flownthecoopkiwi · 29/07/2017 15:53

Tacky but we have a boring black one so bearable

Fekko · 29/07/2017 15:53

I have a photo of my mum circa 1935 with a big floppy bow on her head. They were popular in Russia too (might still be).

TheSnowFairy · 29/07/2017 15:53

Tacky AF. And they'll be the size of her head Shock 🎀

Mumof56 · 29/07/2017 15:54

Awful looking yolks

But if the kids like them let them wear them. What would us oldies know about fashion (as my dc likes to tell meGrin)

Maudlinmaud · 29/07/2017 15:56

Dd loves them, it's her head, she can wear what she likes. I did purchase the real deal from Claire's but home bargains had them in store for £1.99 I think, so now she has them in every colour. Oh well.

ConstanceCraving · 29/07/2017 15:57

You can't decide OP? Really.

NicolasFlamel · 29/07/2017 15:58

Total tat

Tean1 · 29/07/2017 15:58

Is that what they are called now? I noticed the return of what I thought of as Fergie bows, at my son's choir concert. (Fergie bows were called after the Duchess of York, who was briefly a fashion icon in the 80s when she married Price Andrew.)

I think they are quite cute, the girls seemed to be going for bright peach or rainbow ones at my son's school.

Fekko · 29/07/2017 15:59

I'm seeing hair bands around with little wire cat ears attached. I like them (for me but as I'm pushing 50 I'd just look mad).

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/07/2017 16:01

Dd has those too Fekko. I think she keeps Claire's afloat singlehandedly.

PoppyPopcorn · 29/07/2017 16:01

Bloody AWFUL but the must-have hair accessory for all 8 and 9 year olds around here.

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 29/07/2017 16:02

Oooh Fekko - they sound cute

TeaCake5 · 29/07/2017 16:04

They look common.

Acopyofacopy · 29/07/2017 16:04

Tacky as hell and I agree with the Russian school girl vibe!

FeekyChuckers · 29/07/2017 16:06

I saw a 3yr old wearing a JoJo bow last week and it just looked really odd, mainly bc it swamped her head. So no I wouldn't get my 3yr old one, I'd buy her a smaller bow instead if she wanted one.

MargaretTwatyer · 29/07/2017 16:08

Every time I see a girl with one of those on her head I get a distinct feeling she'll be pregnant before GCSEs. They're pretty awful.

They are hideous. But dd is 5 and thinks they are wonderful and this is what her pocket money is for. She can choose if she wants to spend it on tat.

Twoweekcruise · 29/07/2017 16:13

Bloody horrible. My 9 year old loves them and is addicted to JoJo (watches her on YouTube all the bloody time). TBH I know I sound like a snob but I hate her going out in them it she looks so chavvy!

yorkshapudding · 29/07/2017 16:15

I think they look ridiculous. Each to their own though.

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 29/07/2017 16:16

Awful. Just awful.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 29/07/2017 16:16

It's just a hair accessory. Yabu to give it so much thought! Anyone who looks at a little girl and thinks she's 'chavvy' is an arse.

Whitelisbon · 29/07/2017 16:17

They're awful - someone gave my 3yo dd one a few weeks ago, she looked absolutely ridiculous. it may have accidentally fallen in the bin
Dd1s friend wears them too, she's 14, and they look even more ridiculous on her.
Don't do it op.
