All the adults in this girl's life have failed her.

It's truly sickening

This is Texas, coming here soon

Funny how the P appears.

Yeap, nobody discriminates against asexuals (except maybe in orgies).

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 29/07/2017 02:50

random79- have you heard of Blaire White?
Blair is a trans woman , large following on YouTube. She is strongly opposed to children transitioning or any surgery or hormones before 18. You should check out her videos and hear what she has to say about this. Loads of common sense based on her experience.

Jazz could be a gay boy in a happy relationship with a healthy sex life

I've never watched the show but from various readings on it I'm not totally convinced he is gay. Hasn't he expressed likings for other girls as well as boys? I think he even went on a date with a FtT.

At the moment I think it has all made him very confused. He thinks he should be fancying boys (as he is a 'girl' and I think his mum has pushed this onto him) but he actually is a straight boy.

I think, horrifically, that he will end up with no sexuality at all.

God, I hope not. I don't know why but for some reason that makes it all worse. Although it shouldn't, should it? I suppose one can't help thinking that a very effeminate boy will be gay.

It's not necessarily the case.

And I don't know why I think a gay man might be less judgemental of Jazz's situation.

He talks a lot about loving people for who they are, not what they are. Loving them because of what's inside.

And I know he was upset because his friends, girls, would get hugs etc from boys, but they were very diffident about hugging him.

I believe his friendship group has changed now to include other transgirls.

I can't bring myself to watch the show, but I've read a little.

How does his mum come across? Does your intuition tell you anything?

But why is this such an enormous issue at the moment? Surely the number of those with a genuine identity issue are minimal?

Minuscule MargeryFenworthy.

And yet laws are being changed. Without asking women at all. The only survey that has gone out to encourage consultation has been sent to the LGBT community. You are not allowed to object.

Hm, I assumed since he wants a boyfriend, that he was gay, but you may be right, he started transing so early he might not have had any clue which sex he fancies, then.

I think, horrifically, that he will end up with no sexuality at all.

Yeah, that's probably what's gonna happen.

But why is this such an enormous issue at the moment? Surely the number of those with a genuine identity issue are minimal?

No, the number of those with genuine identity issues is high. There's many, many girls who identify as some or the other gender in an attempt to escape their oppression as women under patriarchy, and I am sure their distress is genuine. I am sure they don't identify with being oppressed under patriarchy, with all that includes.

That said, yeah, the number of those who have genuine dysphoria about their bodies (and have had it before societal misogyny and homophobia started working on them) is tiny.

Also, what Assigned said.

Ktown · 29/07/2017 10:19

This is all quite sad for normal trans adults and they will be lumped in with people wanting to fetishise women, or children.
It may sound flippant but I am not surprised about some of the suicide statistics. Imagine being fed some of the guff about gender and then having the realisation it is nonsense. No wonder there is depression and other mental health issues.
I think the trans word should be reclaimed in the original sense for adults with gender dysmorphia. It isn't fair on genuine trans adults to be accused of encouraging mutilation of children.

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 29/07/2017 10:21

I thought this was going to be a bout a child where there is a huge history of breast cancer in the family Sad

Datun · 29/07/2017 12:39

Ktown

Whilst I completely agree that transsexual and transgender should be separated, I just want to point out that those suicide statistics are based on a sample of 27 people.

All of whom self selected the survey. And the authors of the survey themselves pointed out that the profile of the people responding would not be neutral.

Statistically the LGBT community, has an increased risk of suicide in general. As do most minorities. But, according to the NHS, suicidal ideation in the community is only slightly higher than teenagers in general.

Which is very worrying in and of itself.

I can't help feeling that some of our youngsters are losing their way.

This also explains some of it. George Soros too

This is an interesting quote

"Having it both ways seems to be a hallmark of the trans movement: Society at large is supposed to accept that any man—no medical transition necessary–who believes he is a woman, even part-time, needs to be respected as such, yet we should all also be celebrating the idea that children as young as 12 should be put on cross-sex hormones, or have double mastectomies at 14. We’re supposed to accept that “some girls have penises” but at the same time accept that teens absolutely need to permanently alter their bodies with hormones and surgeries as early as possible."

Also, Pritzker is a former Colonel in US but still uses his deadname when it suits him. So a sometime trans billionaire is funding the permanent transition of children

OP posts:
AssignedMentalAtBirth · 29/07/2017 14:27

Pritzker is also a life long republican who has donated to candidates that are hostile or opposed to gay and lesbian rights.

I'm going to find the consultation process and have my say. Genuine question; can any person who wants be consulted insist that they have a say because they identify as bisexual? Let self-identifying cut both ways.

AssignedMentalAtBirth · 29/07/2017 14:53

Oh yes Pavlov and it's not just the feminists doing it

WOW. I had no idea George Soros is one of two major funders for the transgender stuff. That's really bizarre. Why is he doing that?

BigDeskBob · 29/07/2017 18:24

"Having it both ways seems to be a hallmark of the trans movement"

I don't think its a coincidence that a women can have a penis, but a man cannot have breasts. Men judge women on the size of their breasts and often only notice them and not the person.

The trans boards on reddit are full of people complaining about being misgendered - "but I have breasts and was wearing a tight shirt" forgetting that their face and the rest of their body is male.

To live as their true gender, MTT wear a padded bra, ftt get wear binders or have a mastectomy.

Yeah, I had noticed that while women harm themselves (wearing a binder harms the breast tissue and obstructs breathing) in order to trans themselves, whereas men ... don't.

But that's not surprising, is it?

The whole thing is about gender, and men decide what gender is. They see women as a walking pair of breasts, and that's how womanhood is defined by them, then.

StrangeLookingParasite · 29/07/2017 22:36

Re brain maturity, somewhere I read that puberty blockers - apart from being catastrophically dangerous - also prevent the hormone surge that leads to brain maturity, so yes, blockers will prevent full brain maturation.

I also think the point about maturity and age of consent is very relevant - if somene is not considered mature enough to give proper consent to a sexual relationship, how can they possibly be making huge and permanent decisions like this?

I reject utterly the 'cis' label, since I have been gender non-conforming all my life, as have my sisters. None of us ever had dolls, we only had teddies. I never walked around with a 'baby' in a pram, I never did the pink thing. It's all just stupid, limited, useless stereotypes, and I beileve the transgender movement actively supports reinforcement of these stereotypes.

Sallystyle · 30/07/2017 12:53

I think our obsession with gender stereotyping has become so entrenched that it's come back to bite us in the arse.

Absolutely. The world has gone fucking mad.

I love that picture, U2. Especially the axe with which the chains are smashed is a nice detail. Smile
