60 quid?!?!?!

For ten ish curves of wood painted in each of the rainbow colours. For a small child. To no doubt try to shove up their nose or wedge down the loo.

I do not understand how this item is worth anywhere near 60 quid, and it has got to bw something the parents buy to try and win cred or something?

God I love it and I really want one.

My youngest DC is 17. I might be a bit late.

Sad

Not sure how to do links but they have a -'Wankel' stacking tower Grin
i would have bought this and loved it. I bought one of those daft seat/spinny things with the round bottoms, can't remember the name but it mostly caused accidents.

Hmmalittlefishy · 28/07/2017 05:25

I love the look of them and really tempted to get dc3 one for Christmas. It's hard when they are the third to know what to get that we don't already seem to have. I do see saw between £60!!!!! And people saying their children play with it every day.

londonrach · 28/07/2017 05:34

Theres three at the children centre we visit. My daughter does enjoy chewing playing with them. Do think they pretty. Theres a fb page linked to that site and theres only so many rainbows out there so when they get a delivery its a bun fight! You should see the photos of some peoples collections. Mind you they vvvv pretty so kinda understand and the mums seem v artist with what they do with them. (Not jealous of their art skill at all). Check out the large ark and wobble board if you want to see pricey. Think these toys are toys to pass down witin the family. Sainsburys made the rainbow three years ago for £8.50. Ive enailed head office theyve none left in stock. I live in hope of finding one second hand.

TealStar · 28/07/2017 05:47

Beautiful. I want one.

The pieces aren't too flimsy are they? Like if a child landed on a solitary arc, would it break?

londonrach · 28/07/2017 05:51

Ok...i want one but £60..sainsburys please remake them

You can buy the cheap £10 version from wish but it's not really the same it doesn't stack as well although children do use it for tunnels and such like, I used it as a test run before I brought the Grimm version

londonrach · 28/07/2017 06:02

Can you like lam

ZogsAnon · 28/07/2017 06:03

Unbelievable amounts of money to in to single purpose toys, it's refreshing to see children play with toys that will develop their imagination, and can support so many other areas of development.

midnightmisssuki · 28/07/2017 06:11

We've got it, and also have the large elements. It is, by far, the most used toy in the house. You can build tracks with it, use it to balance, build houses for little people or a zoo for animals. It's so versatile and brilliant! Expensive but worth it imo.

Iamembarrassed · 28/07/2017 06:11

cheap wish version

Iamembarrassed · 28/07/2017 06:13

Although this one looks more like a Grimm version So may have to buy it and test it or

midnightmisssuki · 28/07/2017 06:13

Ohhhh that wobble board! Grin

I know a few companies who have good deals on them (grimm's and holtzinger) so you don't really have pay £60. Grin

niceandspicey · 28/07/2017 06:20

This thread has made me desperate for one...

liquidrevolution · 28/07/2017 06:32

We have the much smaller sainsbros version (Bought half price in their October toy sale 2 years ago).

I could probably sell it on ebay for more than I paid for it as I have seen them snapped up on facebook sites. DD is indifferent but it looks pretty in her rainbow themed room.

liquidrevolution · 28/07/2017 06:33

I would love a wobbel board to stretch out my back in the morning!

Hmmalittlefishy · 28/07/2017 06:33

Op - I think your thread backfired!! Sales of the rainbow will be going up! Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 28/07/2017 06:39

There's also a giant one for £500....

They go out of stock really quickly. Last Christmas people were hounding Babi Pur relentlessly to get one.

We have a few Grimms toys and my kids couldn't give a toss about them so I'll probably sell them for money for the kids money boxes.
We also have a ton of Holtztiger animals than my daughter also doesn't care for, despite my best efforts she's all about mini mouse. 😭

WomblingThree · 28/07/2017 06:41

Apart from blatant snobbery, what the hell is wrong with plastic?

niceandspicey · 28/07/2017 06:53

Just ordered one for DDs 2nd birthday Smile

RufflingFeathers · 28/07/2017 06:59

We love ours Grin !!
Played with for years, great toy to keep for visiting kids of all ages, especially like seeing how differently kids instinctively play with it. Worth more than the £50 we spent......

AutoCat · 28/07/2017 07:03

We have this wooden one from Legler (currently £15 from £25) and it's lovely.

Much cheaper than Grimms. The children don't play with it that much so I'd never pay more.

We had the Sainsbury's version and it was rubbish as it didn't stack.
