Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

This is certainly keeping me occupied while my husband is away on a sleepover for work.

they must be crapping themselves Grin

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 20:52

Thanks for linking the first thread, I forgot!

I've got a friend coming over with her little girl tomorrow now. She says she'll bring a swing and paddling pool and we can sit out there all day and keep lookout, haha Wine

I actually want them to come back now so I can update.

What they and their builders have done is vandalism on top of trying to commandeer your garden.

TheRat · 27/07/2017 20:53

Maybe they planned to stay elsewhere tonight while the building work is being done?

How was the pie?

EmmaJR1 · 27/07/2017 20:53

I'm just shamelessly place marking - I'm definitely over invested in the outcome of the thread!

WipsGlitter · 27/07/2017 20:54

Placemarking!

FUNM · 27/07/2017 20:54

If the doors are open maybe you could have a quick snoop around the flat and draw a diagram of the layout - ya know to pass the time til they get back lol just kidding

Rachel0Greep · 27/07/2017 20:54

Don't engage, OP. Contact all the relevant people who will sort this.

shamelessly place marking

Bravas · 27/07/2017 20:55

I bet they've seen the thread and are now quaking in their boots somewhere.

Hope you get it all sorted soon!

Runninglikeamummy · 27/07/2017 20:55

Omg! A big hole and a shit door in a listed building AND trespass? £££

MistyMinge · 27/07/2017 20:56

I reckon they're staying elsewhere whilst the work is done. They're probably having a new kitchen put in too.

Sorry if you've already said, but have you met them since they moved in?

Surely even a numpty realises you can't put upvc doors in a listed building, and need permission before doing anything at all.

FUNM · 27/07/2017 20:56

Maybe your local planning office has late night Thursday opening hours, like shops do....and that is where they have been held up Grin

eddielizzard · 27/07/2017 20:56

the builders have definitely told them they've been rumbled. maybe they thought you wouldn't notice...

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 20:56

aaaaargghhhhelpme yes new owners. They very recently purchased the property, as did I with mine, however, I've already been here a while as I'd rented previously then bought from my landlord.

They obviously didn't know this though, not that it makes a difference! But maybe they thought they could sneak the door in before the "new" owner arrived.

What if they're away ... for the WEEKEND?! shudder

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 27/07/2017 20:56

This will have impacted the value of your home in 3 ways.

  1. Potential neighbour dispute.
  2. They now have access to your garden
  3. The appearance of your garden has changed. Surely a beautiful, period feature in your garden adds to the charm and the over all value?
mikeyssister · 27/07/2017 20:57

@Supersoaryflappypigeon, thanks that's me sorted. Not sure what the rest of you are going to eat though

princesseggo · 27/07/2017 20:57

place marking Grin

FuzzyOwl · 27/07/2017 20:57

Considering the inside of their kitchen must also resemble a building site, the neighbours probably are staying elsewhere.

I reckon the reason there were six builders was to get the work done so quickly it would all be complete before the OP got home or noticed.

ItsNachoCheese · 27/07/2017 20:58

I detect a whiff of avoidance from your ever so charming neighbours...
