Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 20:25

Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

So sorry op. In all the excitement I don't know if you've answered this - they are definitely new owners? Not new tenants (for the new owners if you see what I mean!)

I mean either way it's all batshit. And I really hope it gets sorted asap. Flowers for you and possibly also some Wine Gin

Inertia · 27/07/2017 20:45

How long has your neighbour owned their property? Were they hoping to make the switch in the time before the new owner of your property (i.e. you!) moved in, on the basis of claiming that they'd always had the rights to the garden?

As a PP says, the listed building status at least means that the council will do the hard work for you in pursuing this.

AlpacasPackOwls · 27/07/2017 20:45

I reckon they are on holiday as PPs said. Wonder if the builders will be back to do other work in the house. I'd be tempted to have a look through their new doors to see if anything else is being replaced

gingermumi · 27/07/2017 20:45

Shocking situation and please keep us updated OPGrin

JaneEyre70 · 27/07/2017 20:46

The builder will have rang them, and said your neighbour is going mad at us. And rumbled that they haven't got planning permission. There's no way they will slink home until dark!!

Efferlunt · 27/07/2017 20:46

Can someone link to previous thread please?

hungoverhippo · 27/07/2017 20:46

🚗

53rdWay · 27/07/2017 20:46

I did not share! I went "Hmm no" and they dropped it, luckily. But they definitely asked like they thought I'd go "oooh ok, I'll just budge the fence up a bit"!

Riverdale32 · 27/07/2017 20:47

I'm slightly worried that a) I'm now referring to cheek fucker land as an actual geographical location ~blame prezzo and their half price bottles of prosecco~ and B) your cheeky fucker neighbours are away on holiday and are expecting to return to their lovely new garden with soon to be delivered rattan corner sofa and six seater table and chairs Smile

TicketyBoo83 · 27/07/2017 20:47

I'm stuck in all day tomorrow waiting for various deliveries. I'm hoping for live updates from OP to get me through my boredom 😉

Foreverhopeful22 · 27/07/2017 20:47

You could call police if someone goes out there after all they are trespassing on private property

RedStripeIassie · 27/07/2017 20:47

Umm,

FuzzyOwl · 27/07/2017 20:48

Why are the neighbours being so unreasonable and not coming home so we get an update? Grin

SummerMummy88 · 27/07/2017 20:48

Thanks for the new thread, I'm most interested to see how this pans out! X

C0untDucku1a · 27/07/2017 20:48

Unbelievably cheeky.

Funko · 27/07/2017 20:48

You realise that when this is done with you absolutely must spend every waking spare moment enjoying your garden!

You need beautiful ornaments, shiny things, lanterns, an elaborate fountain, furniture, a chiming-wotsit and you must waft past their expensive reinstalled window at every opportunity. Perhaps with the MN tinkly laugh?

duxb · 27/07/2017 20:49

If I were your neighbours i would be terrified.

This whole thing is beyond idiotic.

I really hope they sort it and clean your garden OP.

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 27/07/2017 20:49

Can the builders get in trouble? Is it up to the to get planning permission (or check)

eubyru · 27/07/2017 20:49

Can't wait to see what they say tomorrow if they come out of hiding

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 27/07/2017 20:50

I wonder if they have any nice rooms in their house that you might require access to.

MyCalmX · 27/07/2017 20:50

Another one who thinks they've decided to stay out later than usual tonight to avoid you OP.

Thunderthighs11 · 27/07/2017 20:50

Selfish feckers, they need to get home asap, do they not realise the whole of mumsnet is waiting for their response.

DragonMamma · 27/07/2017 20:50

I bloody love a cheeky neighbour thread.

Thanks for the diagrams OP, I couldn't get my head around the layout.
