Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

They must know they're in the wrong to hide like this. Well, that's what I'd like to think.

Questioningeverything · 27/07/2017 20:33

😔 hoped there'd be an update!

DumbledoresApprentice · 27/07/2017 20:33

Hopefully they are now shitting themselves and trying to find a way to get it put right quickly and avoid an enormous fine.

TipTop333 · 27/07/2017 20:34

They are definitely hiding somewhere and shitting themselves

Articu · 27/07/2017 20:34

.

HamletsSister · 27/07/2017 20:34

Are they on holiday while the work is being done? Were the builders, in fact, robbers? Would the police investigate if someone pulled out a window and then disappeared when challenged?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 27/07/2017 20:34

I'm going on holiday tomorrow and very looking forward to live updates to keep me going!

Any signs of neighbour's returning OP?

UnicornSparkles1 · 27/07/2017 20:34

Imagine if someone turned up to put decking in your garden tomorrow!!

thinkfast · 27/07/2017 20:34

Are you in England op? If so you should inform the freeholders/ managing agents of your block asap. This is bound to be a breach of their lease

MissFitton · 27/07/2017 20:35

How finished is it? Have they moved out whilst the work is being done and now, having been tipped off by their dodgy-building-rellie sat in a travel lodge googling retrospective planning consent?

RudeDog · 27/07/2017 20:35

I have a brew and settling in for the night.....

Can't believe they aren't home yet! They might be avoiding you but maybe they're away? Lots of people get work done while they go on holiday?

MadamePomfrey · 27/07/2017 20:36

You said doors were being put in where the kitchen window was?? I'm guessing they are doing a new kitchen and have gone away while the work is done

tink86 · 27/07/2017 20:37

My flat is like yours in the sense of the windows and I'd never dream of doing this. I can't believe it. They're obviously avoiding you

HunterHearstHelmsley · 27/07/2017 20:37

Jesus Christ. What the fuck is wrong with people?!

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 20:37

To answer PP no there's not a hole - they've replaced the window with cheap plastic doors which open into my garden.

Yes, in England, think won't say where although if they read this they'll know it's about them. I'm past caring.

Sorry I don't have a more exciting update, haha.

Photo of mess and doors?

relaxitllbeok · 27/07/2017 20:37

Maybe one of them is a mumsnetter...

wineoclockthanks · 27/07/2017 20:38

If the builders were family they've probably given them the heads up and they're skulking around the corner ready to sneak home under the cover of darkness!!

It's really lucky that you live in a listed building, because you don't really need to do anything about this, the council will be all over it and it will get rectified. All you have to do is show them the photos and let them into your garden. It'll definitely be inconvenient as the builders will be bound to need to access your garden for the remedial works, but at least then it'll be done and over.

If it wasn't a listed building then you would have to be the driving force behind getting it fixed. You would still be in the right, obviously, as it's your garden, but you would be having to organise all the legal stuff yourself to get it put right, which would be a time-sucker.
