Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

I wonder what happens if the CFN chooses not to pay or declares bankruptcy etc.

Excellent work with the updating, OP. Your humour in the face of adversity has been fabulous.

Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 11:53

Yes I'm going to contact my insurers etc now. Planning lady was very helpful and said if I need anything just to email her. I am sure really hopeful that she will keep me updated with what she can.

They're probably hiding out somewhere hoping it goes away!

Polter · 28/07/2017 11:53

Well done Wattyyyy Wine

Don't forget that there are 2 issues here, the listed building/planning/consent is one issue and the access to your garden is another issue. The planners will deal with the first but you need to take some sort of action on the second to make sure your CFNs are in no doubt that the garden is not communal.

sendcoffee · 28/07/2017 11:53

Can I just say @Wattyyyy (I think from everyone here) thank you.

Thank you for a brilliant thread.

Thank you for the regular updates.

Thank you for not disappearing.

I really hope CFN return soon, the satisfaction you're going to get from knowing you're right is going to be immense.

They may be away for the weekend. You may have to wait until Monday before they surface. Excellent news tho.

AnathemaPulsifer · 28/07/2017 11:54

That'll teach them!!

BelligerentGardenPixies · 28/07/2017 11:54

Deep breaths everyone - they've probably gone away for the weekend so get a grip of your knickers, at least till Monday, I would think.

Great update OP - God, it's going to cost them squillions.

Theonethingididntwant · 28/07/2017 11:55

I am praying to the gods that they come home so we can have an update today. My day at work will be seriously improved if we get an outcome for this.

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 28/07/2017 11:55

I just want to know there reasoning over their anticipated use of the garden

How could they think it would be ok to start using it?
What had they planned to do in it?

Maybe they have a nice bistro set and a barbecue on order.... watch out for garden themed deliveries op!!

Elendon · 28/07/2017 11:55

Look out for a for sale notice on the flat soon. This won't get them off though. Not now it's been documented.

I do love it when the proverbial hits the fan.

DumbledoresApprentice · 28/07/2017 11:55

The repairs will likely be quite disruptive to you OP. I definitely second getting legal advice in terms of what compensation or fees you are entitled to in return for allowing acces to your garden. I'm assuming that they will need acces through your flat once the doorway is bricked up.

Needsomeflapjacks · 28/07/2017 11:55

I predict a For Sale sign very soon. .

Veronicat · 28/07/2017 11:56

I expect the planning department could find out the new owners from the Estate Agent who sold the property?

VforVienetta · 28/07/2017 11:56

Watttyyyy did they advise you on whether you could clear the mess/bricks etc, or block/ziptie the doors to secure your garden?

TheMaddHugger · 28/07/2017 11:56

Extraordinary happy

This is all so brilliant, I'm happy it's turning out so well for you OP!!!

(And so badly for the CFNs)

3luckystars · 28/07/2017 11:56

Look.

You have to install a video camera.

And also make this into a movie with Matt Damon in it.

troodiedoo · 28/07/2017 11:56

Possible planning lady is a MNer? Smile

AnarchyKitty · 28/07/2017 11:57

Now I really must get off MN!

When I was getting quotes for work, I had one builder tell me that I didn't have to worry about planning/building control, as he would deal with all that. When I explained that I would like to see all the documentation he got very shirty and said I should just trust him as he was a professional. 😒

I'm wondering if the builders have told the CFNs the same thing and they think they have a right to access as the builders have bullshitted them in order to get the work. 🤔

MaryWortleyMontagu · 28/07/2017 11:57

I am abroad on holiday and keep on having to check in on this thread every time I go somewhere with wifi! Gripped!

Colinfarrellsarse · 28/07/2017 11:57

Purity thanks for that link! Amazing!

AlpacaLypse · 28/07/2017 11:57

Any bets on how many threads this one will eventually run to? @TidyDancer's Gluezilla bride was definitely three, so was @FuckYouChrisAndTheHorseYouCameOn and the horse squatters. @Wattyyyy I fear you'll have to start up and link to a new thread for your fan club very soon.

grosseconnasse · 28/07/2017 11:58

OP I love you.
