Glad they've sorted it out, this is way more exciting than trying to think of fun things to do in the bloody rain!

Have been following this since the start without posting ... but just HAD to say how delighted I am to read the update.

I'm sad that you and your neighbours have had the disruption and more disruption to come as the damage is repaired. Legal advice via your home insurance should help you to seek appropriate compensation.

Of course when CFN gets new builders in to fix the mess, they will either have to do all the work from INSIDE their flat, or else ask OP for permission to stand in her garden while they are doing the repointing.
Being a decent person who wants the work done nicely as she has to look at it, she will of course all decent builders access.
And charge the CFN a daily access fee...
