well I think you are going to have to start a second thread soon OP. Especially if there is going to be live posting tomorrow.

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/07/2017 19:45

Just Googled it upto 2 years in jail and unlimited fine for the builders and whoever instructed the builders

laura1206 · 27/07/2017 19:46

Uh oh!

MistyMinge · 27/07/2017 19:47

I would be incandescent with rage!! WTF are they playing at?

I am desperate to know what they have to say.

Please please let us know what happens

kittapie · 27/07/2017 19:48

I'm so annoyed for you OP! This made me rage!

user1471548375 · 27/07/2017 19:48

Are they home yet OP?

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/07/2017 19:49

Apparently pleading ignorance is not a defence. Can't link the website. It is from the Historic England site

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 27/07/2017 19:50

If OP aid a single female I'd say that's why they've chosen to try and steal her garden, they expect her to roll over and not complain. My mother's old NDN tried that many, many years ago. He wanted to build a wall between the two front gardens, but on my mother's side of the boundary, not his, which would have made his garden look that wee bit bigger. My mother did stand up to him and put up her own wall to match her side not his, but for some reason had it built a few inches into out boundary. Never understood that, mind.

OP! I hope you're ok tonight. I really hope you have company. I can't wait to see what the morrow holds!

EvelynWardrobe · 27/07/2017 19:50

Check this out for extreme CFN-ing.

rosietosey · 27/07/2017 19:51

Do people not talk to neighbours anymore or what.

I think this could have been sorted with a conversation.

It might not have given everyone what they wanted, but it surely is better than funding the lawyers.

whiteroseredrose · 27/07/2017 19:51

Hoping you're ok.

DeadDoorpost · 27/07/2017 19:52

placemarking I'm so glad im not having to deal with anything like this yet. I 100% want to stay far away from people in the countryside

incogKNEEto · 27/07/2017 19:53

Cannot believe the sheer brass neck and stupidity of some people. Hope the planning person sorts it out tomorrow and it gets reinstated asap.

honeysucklejasmine · 27/07/2017 19:55

Rosie I don't think this particular issue could be solved by a conversation.

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/07/2017 19:55

£300000 fine and that is only for an unlisted property.

I am in a conservation area and the hoops you have to jump to just to get a tree branch removed

TaggieRR · 27/07/2017 19:55

I want to know what happens when neighbours get home!

MissFitton · 27/07/2017 19:56

Bloody hell Eveyln that's advanced cheeky-fuckery!

Sunshineboo · 27/07/2017 19:57

Is the NDN home yet?

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 19:58

Still not back!

Unless they've snuck in and are being deathly quiet.

To the pp that asked about the steak pie Grin no but my mum is Scottish so it's her recipe! I can never get it quite the same though Envy

Maybe they are so ashamed they are hiding.

Or maybe the builders got the wrong house and it is some horrid mess....

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 27/07/2017 20:00

Shamelessley placemarking. What a to-do op! There are such stupid people around. Your NDN are utter arseholes.

MsJolly · 27/07/2017 20:00

Are the CFN home yet?

I do think you should try and have a conversation with them, calmly put your point across that they are not allowed to access your garden...see deeds here and here...and that you want your garden back to how it was and that the council are coming and they will also have to take their fugly door out and put the lovely window back.
