Is it possible that they didn't buy it and are renting from the new owner and so maybe are not aware? I live in a rented property and have undertaken work (with land Lord approval) at my own expense for my own quality of life. That maybe the case.
Otherwise they are just goady fuckers. Be brave tonight and good luck with planning officer tomorrow.

cardibach · 27/07/2017 19:38

newdaddie this is the first CF thread I've been on which has its own CF. That's you, if you are in any doubt.

Mumzypopz · 27/07/2017 19:38

I so want to know when they get home.

elQuintoConyo · 27/07/2017 19:38

Wtaf?

OP, i'd recommend dressing up as a seagull and standing in your garden all day saying "mine mine mine mine" like in Finding Nemo. Tap on their doors with your beak occasionally.

mrsheathy85 · 27/07/2017 19:39

Or each time they open their doors light a bonfire/bbq and smoke the fuckers out Grin can you tell dh and I have nothing better to discuss BlushGrin

Moanyoldcow · 27/07/2017 19:39

Why aren't they home yet? Angry

StiickEmUp · 27/07/2017 19:40

Bloody hell

lovetowasteitagain · 27/07/2017 19:40

I'm betting the builders haven't told them, won't answer the phone, and will pretend this never happened. Unfuckingbelievable cheek of some people!

I don't even know how they rectify something like that, I doubt they served any building regs notice or anything, and the builders have done it so quick could they really have installed a lintel?! It's going to cost NDN an effing fortune to put right, what muppets.

Hawkmoth · 27/07/2017 19:40

Thank you for the thread. I have now reported my own CFNs to planning enforcement.

UnicornSparkles1 · 27/07/2017 19:40

@Wattyyyy we need a new thread when this one fills up. You can't leave us wondering about the garden snatchers for the rest of our lives!

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/07/2017 19:41

Surely they were warned about doing work on a listed building and if I remember correctly (had a grade 2 listed building years ago) the solicitor said it was a criminal offence to knock down or change things without permission

GherkinSnatch · 27/07/2017 19:41

2017 has certainly been the summer of Cheeky Fuckery hasn't it!

DumbledoresApprentice · 27/07/2017 19:41

Hawkmoth-have I missed your CF story? What did your neighbour's do?

mrsRosaPimento · 27/07/2017 19:41

Laska, they are brilliant!

DumbledoresApprentice · 27/07/2017 19:42

My phone put that apostrophe there, I promise.

NaymeChaynge · 27/07/2017 19:42

kittymamma · 27/07/2017 19:42

Shameless placemarking (my first ever in 7 years of mumsnetting)

I think speaking to your nice neighbours first is a really good idea. If the CFN come around shouting, might be nice to have others around knowing what's going on to tell them to fuck off on your behalf!

Although I'd be surprised if they're still not home!

Marlinspike · 27/07/2017 19:43

Not really shamelessly place marking.... I'm sure others have said this (I've only read the OPs comments) but listed building consents are a bugger to get, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be granted for a UPVC patio door to replace what sounds like an original window. (Still placemarking!)

sunsunsunlove · 27/07/2017 19:43

Placeholding! Desperate to know if CFNs are stupid or rude

Good luck OP

Shocking behaviour!

rosietosey · 27/07/2017 19:44

There is a Watch the Thread facilty. No need to placemark at all. happy days,

IloveBanff · 27/07/2017 19:44

elQuintoConyo "OP, i'd recommend dressing up as a seagull and standing in your garden all day saying "mine mine mine mine" like in Finding Nemo. Tap on their doors with your beak occasionally"

That's brilliant! Thank you for that mental image. Grin

TheMightyMing · 27/07/2017 19:44
