I'm crying laughing at your dream by the way!!! HAHAHHAAAA!!

Jeff GrinGrinGrin

This is a brilliant thread OP, best of luck with your hangover. The feeling of fear and impending doom will pass. If not find that thread of embarrassing drunk stories to make yourself feel better.

VeryButchyRestingFace · 23/07/2017 09:32

I concur with IRN BRU. None of that calorie free shite though. You'll need your full 8 tea-spoonful's worth of sugar.

It's fucking foul, BUT...

if you drink it

*really quickly
*ice cold
*and try to think about something else

it's strangely addictive.

And will really sober you up.😬😬😬

rubberducker · 23/07/2017 09:43

Can of full fat coke - sugar and caffeine, will def perk you up. Has to be a can though, not a bottle (I don't know why, just know that a bottle is not the same!)

SerfTerf · 23/07/2017 09:44

Tell us about the EWCM thing OP Grin

ememem84 · 23/07/2017 09:45

Salt n vinegar crisps.

Or scrambled eggs with chilli and spring onion and ketchup.

The protein in the eggs works like magic.

Then have a mid morning McDonald's.

HipsterHunter · 23/07/2017 09:46

You need licozade sport and pain killers NOW and some food, whatever you can manage.

bluetongue · 23/07/2017 10:18

Love this thread Grin

I barely drink these days so it's fun to be drunk vicariously through mumsnet. Also jealous that you can get drunk and not vomit like I always seem to Envy

Sleeplessinguiltyness · 23/07/2017 11:12

I love this post, only wish I'd seen it last night!
Surely deserves a move to classics?!

With you on this - 24 weeks pregnant so haven't had a drink for a long time!! Ah I remember the good old days though... that feeling of sinking in to a pit of despair around a 3pm slump in energy was the best Grin

tackytriceratops · 23/07/2017 11:34

Thank god. It's raining so we are doing inside things.

Managed to order an egg breakfast before the menu changed.

This is why I don't drink!

My younger colleagues all started talking about fertility worries so I launched into a lecture about temping and ewcm.

Must get out more. Or maybe not.

Ah well that was just plain helpful. I was picturing something so much worse Smile

tackytriceratops · 23/07/2017 20:00

I dread to think what you thought!

Finally recovered. It's been a tough un. Thanks for tips.

Off to bed and to work out wtf Jeff is all about...

Best. Thread. Ever 😂

mogulfield · 23/07/2017 21:59

And now you get the most amazing feeling in the world, waking up tomorrow WITHOUT the hangover. It's almost worth the grief for how good you'll feel tomorrow (comparitively). Oh the sweet relief (my hangovers are BAD).

DopeyDazy · 23/07/2017 22:07

F for future

tackytriceratops · 24/07/2017 20:13

Yes, today was a good day!

No Jeff sadly.

People often ask me why I don't drink. I tried. I got my first hangover. I will never drink again.

Anyway, hangover cure. Drink exactly the same as the night before, but from the other side of the glass. Let us know if it works.
