I've just had my hair done, hair extensions at the hairdressers, altogether £410 and I didn't tip.
Should I of ?
I'm moving in the next few weeks and as its a council house I need to buy all new carpets as its basically a empty shell so i need every penny I can get really.
Do you tip?
And if so how much?

No, it's not your problem that I'm struggling to pay my rent like millions of other families in the private rental sector up and down the country.

What is your problem however is that you are sitting in a council house that could be freed up for a family who are utterly desperate for one and in greater need than yourself and your partner. You've boasted that your partner works on the oil rigs and makes good money so you can absolutely afford to rent privately, or even take out a mortgage.

If you don't want to justify parts of your life to a bunch of strangers on a parenting forum on the internet then don't start a thread about £410 hair extensions whilst also mentioning you have a council house and your partner earning a decent wage.

flowerydems · 21/07/2017 23:36

Right two things.

  1. Are you actually bloody serious spending that much on your hair??!! You're off your head if you're debating what to spend your money on.
  2. They'll weaken your hair, you'd be better with a wig.
Actually it's 3, tipping is good. I never don't leave a tip, but then I have to work 3 jobs one of which is a barmaid so tipping begets tipping. You wouldn't understand with your funded lifestyle Enjoy your extensions hope they don't make you more bald in your council house which you really don't deserve if you can afford to spend nearly 500 quid on fucking extensions
MSLehrerin · 21/07/2017 23:38

What @emancipationofalex said. With bells on.

Ashkey234 · 21/07/2017 23:38

Me and my partner don't have a joint account and our money is our own.
If the LA didn't think we were suitable for a home with them we wouldn't be living in one.

Ashkey234 · 21/07/2017 23:39

I guess it's nobody's business what I spend my money on seen as tho I go off to work and earn it myself

Are people in council houses not allowed to get hair done? Or wear clothes? Eat ? Breathe?
Shall we all walk around naked?
You know because we rent from the local authority
Pathetic

My next door neighbour has just went on holiday, she's in a council house ...is she allowed to go on holiday ?

I don't think hair extensions and breathing is the same 🤔

Ashkey234 · 21/07/2017 23:43

I'm trying to avoid colouring my hair too
I will try the redken shampoo as I've heard it's really good for damaged hair

I think it's fairly unusual for someone who qualifies for social housing to be able to spend £400+ on their hair tbh @Ashkey234

Social housing is subsidised by the taxpayer to ensure those who can't afford private rents to have have a roof over their head. Hence why people on this thread are getting a tad annoyed 😕

PixieXox · 21/07/2017 23:44

If you can afford £410 hair extensions you could easily afford to privately rent or get a mortgage and leave the council house for someone who actually needs it.

Glad our taxes are going to good use Hmm

Ashkey234 · 21/07/2017 23:47

So because I social rent am I not allowed to save money from my wages (which I go out to earn) to get my hair done?
You don't know how long it's taken me to afford them do you?
No of course you don't ..

OP posts:
emancipationofalex · 21/07/2017 23:47

You can spend your money on whatever the hell you want, tacky hair extensions and all! But if there's enough money coming in every month, I don't see why the taxpayer should be subsiding your housing.

Maybe with all your extra cash you can buy a Paul's Boutique bomber jacket and a pair of Juicy Couture tracksuit bottoms to complete your look 😘

MSLehrerin · 21/07/2017 23:48

Go on then, do enlighten us @Ashkey234. How long did it take you to save up for your £410 extensions?

I'll start the bidding at a year...

Allwashedup · 21/07/2017 23:49

Don't feed the troll!

But really OP, people like you make me sick. You are really rubbing it in. Not many are in your privileged position.

Wendalicious · 21/07/2017 23:51

This must be a wind up!

Ashkey234 · 21/07/2017 23:51

I've already got a lovely Paul's boutique jacket babe ..no need to buy another Grin
