I've just had my hair done, hair extensions at the hairdressers, altogether £410 and I didn't tip.
Should I of ?
I'm moving in the next few weeks and as its a council house I need to buy all new carpets as its basically a empty shell so i need every penny I can get really.
Do you tip?
And if so how much?

Whatever you are doing to your hair - stop!

It sounds like you are paying more than you can afford, and would like to tip but can't stretch to it... so could you reassess whether the style you chose was necessary? Is there another way to bolster your confidence? Money like that could buy all sorts, like a holiday, or a course in hairdressing...

This is the time I should really hunt down my dodgy hair extension photos to show you all again.

I looked better than Rod Stewart!

How extensions can make your hair loss worse. Glued or woven. And how to minimise damage. Minimise, not eliminate.

When people think of hair extensions they think of this ..if you go somewhere decent they can look natural

I don't think anyone is worried about how they'll look.
I'm more concerned that you are applying extensions because of thinning hair and, after paying that amount that you have to save for, you could well be damaging your hair further.
If you're experiencing hair loss, I'd do less to it, not more.

No I think of this

Everyone I see with hair extensions develop an annoying habit of scratching their heads - reminds me of when kids have nits.

I agree about them damaging thinning hair, they're terrible if you have hair issues. Not want you want to hear after you've spent all that money, sorry!

Op if you can afford to pay more than a month's rent on just your hair then you are in a very fortunate position. If you are able to carpet and decorate a whole house in one go, before you move in, you are in a very fortunate position. The thing that I find annoying about your posts is that you don't seem to realise how fortunate you are. There are plenty of people who work just as hard as you in their minimum wage job but who can't afford to save £10 a week, or if they can that money gets put towards their children's school shoes, school trips or to buying a cheap second hand car so that they can keep working.

Are you a joint tennant with your partner? Does he contribute to your rent? Why aren't you asking him to pay towards carpeting and decorating his home? Where is his money going?
