Fuck sake, there's some right nasty, judgmental bitches on this threadShock. Wtf has it got to do with anyone what the OP does with her money just because she has a coucil house? I really wish there was a block button on Mumsnet...It's the same nasty feckers on every thread harassing people.

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 18:56

This thread has proved that a lot of people dislike people in social housing and think because we need to rent from L/A we aren't allowed anything for ourselves ..
And il say one last time I never once said I was struggling to decorate or carpet

@U2HasTheEdge Oh I hate people like OP but I blame the council not her. It's not right though and she at least should admit she is playing the system

What a nasty, horrible person you are. Do you not know that anyone can apply for a council house? How the hell is she playing the system?

Jenna43 · 22/07/2017 19:01

OP I wouldn't even reply to them anymore. Why you need to justify anything to a bunch of bitter, twisted old witches is beyond me.

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:02

When I first got my housing association home I couldn't afford to private rent, met my partner and 2 years ago he moved in.
We both took our payslips/bank statements and job contracts to the council who photo copied everything and we were still eligible for a property with them.
You don't have to be living on a park bench to get a house here,I'm in the band of "choice" where people who have the right to rent in U.K. And over 18 can apply for housing.
I've done zilch wrong.

Jenna43- I'm not replying anymore,I can't be bothered to keep repeating the same things to them
Thankyou

MSLehrerin You accused the OP of bragging
Agreed to all of that @Ashkey234. But don't come on to an Internet forum and brag about spending an obscene amount of money

Then you say this
@Ashkey234 I'd better return my under and post-graduate degrees then if you think I don't have a brain.....😉 Two Universities have obviously got it soooooo wrong

SeriouslyHmm ^

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:09

Everyone is able to apply for housing ...

Do you tip at hairdressers? I didn't and now I feel guilty

@Jenna43 she was bragging. Simples. Must be particularly thick as I don't get what point you're attempting to make. 🙄 seriously?

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:15

How is me saying I just got extensions any different to you "bragging" about your degrees ?Hmm

OP posts:
MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 19:15

I've been accused of being a bitter, twisted old woman and a Daily Fail reader today by two complete strangers on this thread today.....I love it!! Both completely and utterly so far off the mark but hilarious 😃

The internet is indeed a marvellous thing!

This was your first post.

Some 10 pages later you claim you can afford the carpets and cost was never an issue.

Read your post. Do you not see why people are taking umbridge with you? You need every penny you can get to move so didn't tip for that reason.

So how can you justify £410 on hair if you need every penny?! You say you have saved £10 a week to pay for your hair, yet that £410 would have gone a little further in getting your new house ready wouldn't it?

As I've repeated time and time again, I couldn't give a shit where you live, where your money comes from or how you spend it. What annoys me is the needing every penny to decorate yet dropping £410 and quibbling over a fiver for a tip for hair extensions.

Madness.

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 19:18

I wasn't bragging I was stating a fact - I do have two degrees so your comment about me not having a brain is invalid.

If you hang on for a couple of hours I'll post my degree certificates as well as my cycling safety and swimming ones I got when I was seven 😃 you've posted a picture of your £410 extensions so fair's fair I suppose eh?

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:18

And as I've said a million times after paying £400 it seemed ridiculous to tip as they've already made a fortune!
So I didn't want to waste money tipping after they've already been paid £410

Thought you weren't going to post any more @Ashkey234?

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:19

Sounds like a plan,I'm sure I've got my bronze award in colouring in from when I was in year 1 at school,il dig that out and we can have a good old trip down memory lane..

PhD in progress on it @FanjoForTheMammaries I'll add bitchy to my list of Internet insults today. I'll add them to my bingo card 😃

LadyinCement · 22/07/2017 19:52

Can't the OP defenders see it is incendiary to boast about one's amount of spare cash and cheap rent?

It sounds as if OP has a great deal more money than a lot of posters and therefore her post is designed to goad. There was absolutely no need whatsoever to mention "council house" in her OP. I often wonder whether I should tip or not or how much, but the fact that my washing machine has broken down/I've booked an expensive holiday are absolutely irrelevant in my thought process.

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 19:58

Where did I say I had spare cash in my post and cheap rent?

This this this.

I've said nothing to be mean to the OP, but have repeatedly said that in a perfectly reasonable question about tipping whether someone is in a council/private house or a homeowner is irrelevant.
Having read the thread through again, it just confirms to me that the outcome of this thread was entirely predictable based on the OP.

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 22/07/2017 20:03

Where did I say I had spare cash in my post and cheap rent?

Hmm

You clearly DO have spare cash and your rent IS cheap, very very cheap, regardless of where you live.

GF.

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 20:25

A private rented house 5 mins away from me ...hardly any difference in my social rent and that rent!! So my rent isn't exactly that cheap

Do you tip at hairdressers? I didn't and now I feel guilty
