only answer if your comfortable but what rent is paid in different areas of the country?
Reading through threads and it's a bit of a eye opener.
I have a 2 bed in north east (social housing) and pay £330 a month
My boyfriend was talking about eventually moving further south (he works as a haulage driver and more work ) how much would social or private housing be down south?

damp 2 bed flat in Cornwall, £495. v v cheap for the area, we've been here a few years and now can't afford to move anywhere bigger.

Herts North of London
About £1200 for a family home.

Nice two bed Victorian conversion flat, £1,900 pm in London Zone 2.

Comprises: living room, double bedroom, utility room, kitchen diner, single bedroom, bathroom, small patio garden.

It's a nice flat, we've been here five years, the rental value would probably be higher if the landlord took on a new tenant.

One bed flat, West Suffolk £590-650.

I'm going to view a few tomorrow.

My goodness some of these rents!!! I think reading as much as i can, ours is by far the cheapest. £365month, three bedroom mid terrace house, two reception rooms, small yard. Nice enough area, private rent! Stoke on trent,

North Leeds would be £550-£800 for a two bed. South leeds cheaper

YoullShootYourEyeOut · 23/07/2017 23:11

We pay £825 pm for a 2 bed (and a dining room which we use as bedroom 3) house in Oxfordshire. This really stretches us and we are lucky we get a bit of top up housing allowance to help.

Gingerandgivingzerofucks · 23/07/2017 23:12

30 minutes north of London by trip, £950 for a 2 bed terrace.
