New thread so that we can await this afternoon's hearing at 1400 (UK time)

Let's try to keep this one as sensible and measured as the past 7 threads have been.

Please note the MNHQ comment on thread number 7.

..... We had to remove several parent-blaming posts, so we'd like to ask folk not to do this. We think we can all agree that this is a truly awful time for all involved and we just wouldn't wish it on anyone. If there's anything we could do with more of, it's support. We'll continue to remove reported posts that break TGs (if we've missed something, do feel free to let us know).

If we have to make too many deletions, we will need to look at removing the thread; which is the last thing we wish to do.

Now they are critisising GOSH for not doing an MRI, or for wanting to do an MRI when a tape measure would do.

Oh and they don't think he is blind or deaf either Hmm

I think the parents have ultimately painted themselves into a corner here. I totally understand their plight, but they at some stage might have come to a decision to halt artificial survival themselves, maybe.

Now, they cannot do anything to let Charlie go. Ever, unless the judge says so. Otherwise they will be called murderers.

I think they are at the mercy of the mob, and it is a no win situation for them.

Every day that passes, that little boy is suffering or just dead with air keeping his body going artificially. When I write that down, it is just like a horror movie.

Sorry, I hope people take my post for what it is. My reaction.

Really appreciating the wealth of legal and medical knowledge being shared on these threads. Just want to post a link to the GOSH staff support thread as I think it's only a positive thing for the beleaguered staff of GOSH to know that so many people are supporting them Smile

I can't begin to imagine what the parents are going through, and I feel for them, I really do. But please for the love of Jesus I wish this shite about memorabilia would stop. It's disgusting.

LovelyBath77, I missed that one, Ihope they make them do the scans anyway, I think they will, so there will be no stone left unturned, this judge is a very clever judge, I like his gameplay, The Judicial wink said it all.

When (not if) the day comes that Charlie dies, regardless of whether it's a 'natural' death or 'machine turn-off' I sincerely think she will sink into some type of delusional state. I hope to God that somewhere in her life there is someone who is still rational and is trying to get support ready for her when that day comes. CG, he seems a bit quieter. Perhaps he still has a bit of rationality in him amidst all this chaos, I don't know. But I sincerely hope so. Those two are going to need each other

I agree with you and I think they judge is letting them along with their expert witnesses.

Hes very effectively letting them do his work.

Maudlinmaud,yup, to be honest they do not need to raise anymore money, they have the money for the treatment they have been offered it free,so why they still raising money??? This is a question btw not a critisim, I just truly truy do not understand it, what i do understand is they could have paid for this proffesional to come over weeks and weeks ago, but they chose not too, has the pastor fucked off because he has realised theres nothing in it for him? or has he realised something?

GabsAlot, not a chance on this earth did I pretend to support, if I were on that page they would not be able to delete me posts quick enough, because I would tell them straight, Charlies army page on Facebook is an open page everyone can see it, my account got blocked by them because they did not like seeing my posts on newspapers ect, so Imade a new account where i can see it all.

Mucky I don't care about the money or the funds they have already raised. You cannot put a value on human life. My point is hawking "keepsakes" in the name of a dying child is very low. Maybe I'm alone in that thinking. This all looks like little more than entertainment for some people, and that is something I can't understand.

GabsAlot I know you asked Mucky, but if it was the same as me when I joined, you have to answer three questions.

  1. How did you hear about Charlie Gard?
  2. Do you support Connie and Chris in their decision to fight for their Son?
  3. Will you share and promote Charlie's fight?

So I gave false answers. Given the depths of indecency they have already sunk, like protesting outside GOSH, I think it wise for the left hand to know what the right is up to.
