New thread so that we can await this afternoon's hearing at 1400 (UK time)

Let's try to keep this one as sensible and measured as the past 7 threads have been.

Please note the MNHQ comment on thread number 7.

"Hi everyone,

..... We had to remove several parent-blaming posts, so we'd like to ask folk not to do this. We think we can all agree that this is a truly awful time for all involved and we just wouldn't wish it on anyone. If there's anything we could do with more of, it's support. We'll continue to remove reported posts that break TGs (if we've missed something, do feel free to let us know).

If we have to make too many deletions, we will need to look at removing the thread; which is the last thing we wish to do.

Thanks all"

Victoria Butler-Cole, for Charlie's guardian, discussing the questions to be put to the clinicians at their meeting planned for Monday.

And CA are still in a world of their own, ignoring the scan issue completely.

muckypup73 · 14/07/2017 14:42

LovelyBath77, sounds that way, making this case even crazier, so they know Gosh has the evidence.....................

Bloomed · 14/07/2017 14:43

rabbit same here. Charlie surely has to be made a ward of court now. I also have screenshots of the violent threats made. Reporting to facebook etc doesn't help.

muckypup73 · 14/07/2017 14:43

Yamayo, you would think so, seems like parents are playing god, so what other treatment are they refusing? I notice they do allow him to be ventilated to keep him alive though.

Venusflytwat · 14/07/2017 14:43

I wish somebody in the room would drag it back to the scan question.

How can his parents possibly be allowed to deny permission for these scans?

LovelyBath77 · 14/07/2017 14:43

I think, they won;t let them do the scan as they have listened to all the tosh from CA and now don't trust GOSH to do it. Perhaps.

cjt110 · 14/07/2017 14:43

Lawyer for Charlie's guardian also believes the parents should not attend the "experts meeting." Thats going to go down like a lead balloon. But I agree.

OP posts:
Sirzy · 14/07/2017 14:43

Hospital probably won't push the scans too much as they know medically they aren't needed and therefore it's an unnecessary procedure. They seem to be confident standing by their assertiations about the level of brain damage.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 14/07/2017 14:44

Is it my imagination or do GOSH not seem to be saying much or getting much of chance to talk here?

GabsAlot · 14/07/2017 14:44

snd to the polic bloom

Sirzy · 14/07/2017 14:44

I agree the parents shouldn't be there. It should be purely from a medical POV not driven by emotion

rabbitnothare · 14/07/2017 14:44

CA

I think the judge is seeing what we do

No love, I don't think that he is Hmm

muckypup73 · 14/07/2017 14:44

Bloomed a ot of people sent the screen shots the the Met x I prsume thats how the judge found out, that along with a load of us telling Gosh

cjt110 · 14/07/2017 14:44

Butler-Cole: the guardian thinks Charlie's parents should not be present at the experts' meeting. But experts could meet parents afterwards.

Need to go school pickup soon, first thoughts- very frustrating outcome so far. Will check in later.

Butterymuffin · 14/07/2017 14:44

Totally wrong to want experimental treatment carried out but not a head scan.

muckypup73 · 14/07/2017 14:45

rabbitnothare, lmao, french fry short of a Mcdonalds comes to mind

GabsAlot · 14/07/2017 14:45

we all know what wold happen if c and c are in the meeting thyll just interrupt an tell thm thyre all wrong

LovelyBath77 · 14/07/2017 14:45

Think they are being very accommodating of the parents though.

Lightlovelife · 14/07/2017 14:45

Figaro CA is Charlie's Army, a Facebook group set up to support the parents. They want him to have a treatment in America which is untested on humans.
I couldn't possibly comment on the patented.
He is kept alive artificially.
By the time I have finished this you will probably have numerous, better, posts explaining.

muckypup73 · 14/07/2017 14:46

Butterymuffin, you have hit the nail on the head there. its crazy...

stitchglitched · 14/07/2017 14:46

According to CA seizures have never even been mentioned before so GOSH are just clutching at straws now.

FFS have these ignoramouses even read anything about this case?

Lightlovelife · 14/07/2017 14:46

Sorry, couldn't comment on the parents.

NannyOggsKnickers · 14/07/2017 14:46

Can someone, braver than me, ask the CA why the parents won't consent to MRI or ECG? I'd like to see what they'd say.
