New thread so that we can await this morning's hearing.

Let's try to keep this one as sensible and measured as the past 5 threads have been.

Fingers crossed that this can all be resolved today and that Charlie and his parents can find peace.

Armstrong: proposed treatment for Charlie seems to have no greater side effects than diarrhoea.

jellypi3 · 13/07/2017 12:33

Does any one know, if the judge does rule in favour of Charlie's Parents, are GOSH likely to appeal (and will they have grounds to?).

Youcanttaketheskyfromme · 13/07/2017 12:33

I don't think it's quite an urban myth - [[https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/uk/2000/aug/30/childprotection.society guardian article]]

BabsGanoush · 13/07/2017 12:33

Assume they will break for lunch soon as they need to be back for 2pm

stitchglitched · 13/07/2017 12:34

Xpost!

SanFranBear · 13/07/2017 12:34

So the lovely people in CA have now turned on the person representing Charlie - you know, the baby this awful case is actually about.

Unbelievable Angry

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 12:36

diarroha? but thy dont know coz its not been tested on someone so severe

ShatnersWig · 13/07/2017 12:36

Youcan and stitch There was no mob. It was ONE young boy. There was no intimidation, no one was questioned by Paxman. In some versions, the house was burned down and the person in question had to flee the town.

One boy put "paedo" on the door and it became something far, far greater.

TesticlesInTheBlender · 13/07/2017 12:36

I don't think I have ever seen a group of more stupid people as CA. That poor little boy.

nauticant · 13/07/2017 12:37

Yes, the "Portsmouth mob" has some elements of truth in it:

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/07/2017 12:37

Armstrong's now saying the proposed drugs' only side effect is diarrhoea, unlike cancer therapy which can harm as well as cure

Err ... since Charlie hasn't got cancer, what the hell has this got to do with anything??

stitchglitched · 13/07/2017 12:38

In response to the diarrhoea tweet

'I'm sure Connie Yates can cope with that after all she's been through'

Others having to point out that it is about what Charlie can cope with.

Lemonading · 13/07/2017 12:38

It's media reporting like this that really pisses me off. The ridiculous quote teemed with a months-old pic of Charlie looking like any ordinary baby.

stitchglitched and Youcanttaketheskyfromme Thats the one. Sorry to derail the thread but it just sprung to mind as the kind of mentality CA seem to have....

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 12:40

thy dont get it do they

the guardian wants whats best for charlie not his parents

thats all ca keep going on about what his parents want

ShatnersWig · 13/07/2017 12:40

Oooh the parents have stormed out of court

Nicknacky · 13/07/2017 12:40

C&C have walked out!

MoreProseccoNow · 13/07/2017 12:40

The Gards have apparently stormed out of court.

DontLetMeBeMisunderstood · 13/07/2017 12:40

Why is further written evidence being presented to the judge today? I thought that that all had to be submitted yesterday with video evidence being accepted today? I can't imagine how the judge can read and digest the info there and then, though maybe that's just part of a judge's skill set.

Chris Gard and Connie Yates storm out of court after disagreement with judge about what they had said during the hearing three months ago.

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 12:41

Thanks Meddie.

Ongoing side effect or diarrhoea. Yes but what about ongoing affect of being kept alive in a sorry state?

HouseOfMouse · 13/07/2017 12:41

From Sky: "Chris Gard and Connie Yates storm out of court after disagreement with judge about what they had said during the hearing three months ago."

blueskyinmarch · 13/07/2017 12:41

What has been said to make them do that I wonder?

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 12:41

They disagree with what is being claimed they said in court three months ago.
