Surely the SS doesn't prevent anyone from meeting the President (or whoever) that he wants to meet.

Can we expect Russia to drop the bombshell that Trump was in the meeting any time now? Could they be holding that piece of info over him?

I don't know - but I think they're playing a dark game.

What sort of "security" did the Russians have in mind? What "security" actions were they planning to carry out wrt Don Jr's team, meeting in Don Jr's office? And who was going to do these actions - the lawyer, the translator?

Presumably, their offices would have security staff - that might refer to them and not to the SS.

No no, this is Rob Goldstone, the middleman, asking Don Jr for the names of the people in Don Jr's team, "for security".

It would have made sense if Don Jr had been asking the names of the people arriving at his family offices, at the very least so the building security folk could admit them. But no. Indeed Don Jr claimed he didn't know the name of the person(s) coming to the meeting. Errr...

Blegh! Don Jr claimed he didn't know the name of the Russian lawyer coming to the meeting - obviously he knew his own team's names.

It's all very weird.

Other than secret service, what were the security arrangements in Trump Tower in those pre-Presidential days? Everyone freely wandering in off the street and ambling around the corridors? Surely not. In order to be let in the building, someone had to know what their names were. Claiming you didn't even know who was there before walking into a room with them is unlikely.

Honestly, you know what, they're just going to pile ludicrous lie on top of unbelievable untruth until anyone trying to make sense of it just throws their hands up in total confusion and walks away. This is clearly the plan. Worryingly, it might even work.

Urgh, my brother still thinks Hillary is worse than Trump. Need some ideas of what to say to him and a reminder of which scandals turned out not to be true. Have asked him to explain what exactly is awful about her.

What if instead of scandals you focus on policies?

We are starting to see what he's really for.
Is he happy with his policies (or lack of) and how he's running services and international politics?
Is he happy with his interference with the justice system?

Or look at both Foundations?

On further information he doesn't think she is worse than Trump but still really really awful for unspecified reasons and if people support her they're part of a bigger problem than Trump. Though he neglects to explain why, just says her awfulness is so transparent. He does infuriate me sometimes as he is really intelligent but also can be really stupid but hides behind his intelligence.

I've been at the excuses thrown up for Jr. meeting with the Russians. Talk about desperation. And now blaming the SS for not stopping it. Don't they realise how stupid they are sounding? Especially when the SS issue a statement refuting any responsibility. I wonder what today's excuse will be
