Wow. Trump is on a crazy Twitter rampage today isn't he? He must be fretting. I particularly like the one about pardons along the lines of "I can absolutely pardon anyone I like, except I don't need to because it's all lies, but I could if I wanted to...just saying"

I'll be interested to see if he makes any. It's not generally a good idea to negotiate from a position of apparent weakness- and that 60 vote ruling is a stormer as well.

I think they're struggling even more now because they need 60 votes to pass it because it can't go through the budget reconciliation process unless they drop things like defunding planned parenthood. So now they either drop large chunks of the bill, which will make it even harder to pass, or go for repeal only, which is unpopular with some reps.

Not sure if there's a vote scheduled for next week.

I still think that there will be a Constitutional Convention of some description after all of this is over.

I've read some pundits opining that a Constitutional Convention is exactly what Scrotus wants. It would allow him and his GOP cronies to re-write the Constitution to give the President near unlimited powers.

The problem with a Constitutional Convention is that it opens the entire Constitution to revision, not just the little bit you might want to 'tweak'.
