So my question is, who is paying Akhmetshin for his work at the Don Jr meetings?
Political campaigns do do opposition research, and pay for that. They hire experienced investigators, including people with an intelligence background. So far so normal (if distasteful).
But who is paying Akhmetshin? Who is his client, regardless of whether payment is monetary or in kind?
Not the machinery of the Republican party or the Trump campaign, otherwise he wouldn't have had to turn to a British publicist of a Russian pop-singer to get a meeting with the Trump team.
