To not want to eat Mcd, drink while pg, and watch trash US TV shows

After reading recent threads, I'm wondering where all the educated and informed people on here are?????

Who would like to agree that

1)Mcd suxs not just because of what they serve (because they are menu changing but also because they are a boring chain taking over the world and closing small business, pay minimum wages, make max profits, they are not a restaurant, where's the cutlery and table service, do i need to go on?

2) Alcohol can harm a baby, and it's not really worth a risk, we shouldn't need to drink while pg

3) Why does everyone's profile list trash US shows- Desperate Housewives, Lost, CSI, etc, etc

I don't think we have to deal with Mcd, and i'm most worried by the amount of them, they're worse than weeds, and if they weren't so supported and people thought about what they ate and where it came from....well...


Cheap- no excuse at all, and half my point, Surely if you want some cheap nosh/treat. You could just support an old fish and chip shop, or get a hambuger from a non- chain place, they are normally cheaper and even bigger serves.

TV yes there are some good US shows, mainly comedy, but really Lost and DH???

No I don't have a profile, if i did it would have - six feet under, sex and the city, seinfeild, and probably not top 40 tune of the week music.

Where did I revise for my A-levels away from all the 'ooh I've done a million hours last week' - 'but ooh i don't need to study at all' ninnys in the school library? Who even offered to turn the music down to help me concentrate? McDs

Where did I study for the first uear of my degree, when my day started at 5 am and by 6/7 I really needed another venue that would serve me coffee and carbs? McD.

Where did I go - any time of day or night - when my Dd fell asleel while driving and would only stay asleep if I kept driving? And I was actually faint with lack of food and sleep? McD

Where can I go and bf for 2 hours solid and pass it off to my toddler as a treat? Where I'll get two hot meals brought to my table, cos my hands are full, and a toy and crayons and a play area provided for Dd for less than a tenner? Mc D

Re; your local burger joint - McDonalds are a lot more accountable both for the quality of their food and their employment conditions than 'local burger joint' which close and re-open faster than envoronmental health can catch up with them. McD pay well - and unlike a lot of independent places don;t exploit immigrants working without papers.

TBH I'm most passionate about the Mcd issue,

I really can argue it for hours have both McLibel and Supersize me on dvd and find it so intresting, especially the Mclibel that rings bells with why I am even commenting on what people watch on TV. If Mcd had their way, and boy did they try !!!!
no one would be able to critize them. So that pretty much means no one would be able to critize anything, even DH

I've my own feature documentary in production. It's called 'SuperStar Me'. The premise is that for 28 days I'll eat only what i can get on the Starbucks menu. Oh dear. I appear to be getting diabetes from to over sugared 1500 calorie so-called 'coffee' drinks. Who are these people keeping Starbucks in business? Are they mad? Don't they know about coffee farmers? Don't they care about your friendly local cafe?
