To think it's inevitable that JC will be PM and TM should just let it happen ASAP

They are now pretty much at the same popularity and in the years to come there will be millions more Labour voters and millions of Tory voters that will pass away. It's pretty much a done deal right? So why doesn't TM just go now?

No Finally, claims are smears if they are untrue. As you are offering no evidence or even argument that the claims are untrue, you presumably accept that they are true. Therefore they are not smears.

Also, do you think that facts become somehow less relevant or true just because they have been stated a number of times? What an odd view.

Thisarmingman · 08/07/2017 17:28

Well I guess if Sinn Fein or Elvis or a coalition of unicorns joined with Labour then it would be relevant to discuss that.

Likewise if Corbyn was indeed all set to get a revolutionary army on the move.

However none of these things are happening.

What is happening is that our mainland government has entered into a deal with a group that has active links to an active group that are still killing people in Ireland, and in doing so have jeopardised the entire political balance in that country.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that something that is actually happening and actually putting people's lives at risk is a bigger issue than how deadly a threat Jeremy "geography teacher" Corbyn is.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 08/07/2017 17:32

Its not that i think they are true I have just seen them banged out 1000000 and CBA getting into it.

And am not young and naive either. I wish.

strikealight · 08/07/2017 17:35

There's a reason they are "banged out a thousand times". But don't let reality stop you having a lovely time in your echo chamber with your Momentum chums.

birdsdestiny · 08/07/2017 17:35

The Tories are more shite is an utterly weak argument. That is not what I want from the labour party. Is that the standard we are now holding the labour party to; that they are not the Tories. If thats all thats on offer its not enough.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 08/07/2017 17:37

I don't know anyone from Momentum.

Oh the assumptions

strikealight · 08/07/2017 17:40

Making assumptions about other posters, shit isn't it?
But you assume I'm a Tory so my opinion doesn't count

Is that clip I posted of JmD talking about democracy and insurrection true, or do you think it is some sort of elaborate forgery?

I'm a bit surprised if you have seen these claims so many times and know them to be untrue that you don't have some quick arguments or evidence to hand to refute them.

strikealight · 08/07/2017 17:49

It's Fake Noos, Releasethebats [excellent username, btw]. Anything which shows JC, JM et al in a bad light is just propaganda. And Fake Noos.

I am only just joining this post. I haven't bothered sifting through 17 pages.
TM should roll over and allow JC to be PM??? On what grounds? JC lost. He will never be PM. Even the members of his own party hate him.... If, in the unlikely event. TM steps down someone from the Conservative party will step into her shoes - Because like it or not the Tories won the election.....

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 08/07/2017 19:28

ReleaseTheBats - love it! 😂😂

Thisarmingman · 08/07/2017 19:58

I don't see what is so wrong with talking about peaceful protest as a means of speaking out against the government. It is hardly in the same league as calling for a communist revolution and the slaughter of dissenters.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 08/07/2017 20:06

Insurrection:

Violent action taken by a large group of people against the rulers of their country, usually to remove them from office.

Thisarmingman · 08/07/2017 20:09

He wasn't talking about violence though.

Honestly, this thread is like 1950s America.

strikealight · 08/07/2017 20:14

JM is playing at 1970s if we are talking historical throwbacks.
Wow - any criticism of Corbyn you are a Tory AND a McCarthyite.

Thisarmingman · 08/07/2017 20:17

The radical tradition of the Labour party is hardly confined to the 1970s.

And actually yes it is a little paranoid/McCarthy-ite to see violent and repressive Maoism whenever a person refers to that tradition.

ReleaseTheBats · 08/07/2017 20:19

How about celebrating rioting students "smashing up Millbank" This is that okay and non-violent enough for you? Or endorsing a leaflet calling for armed struggle against the police? (see previous posts)

ReleaseTheBats · 08/07/2017 20:22

Sorry *kicking the shit out of" not "smashing up"

ReleaseTheBats · 08/07/2017 20:27

And just a reminder that during those riots, that JM was praising, a student threw a fire extinguisher off Millbank at the police. Luckily no one was killed, but they could have been. But obviously I am a Macarthyite to not think politicians should not be celebrating actions like that Hmm

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 08/07/2017 20:51

That means he must support killing
people then obviously. Hmm

Thisarmingman · 08/07/2017 20:53

Haha he really said that? Top Man.

You're right that no one was killed by the fire extinguisher. It was the police that did the killing, wasn't it?

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 08/07/2017 20:56

I heard he once said he could murder some chips. He is clearly a psychopath

ReleaseTheBats · 08/07/2017 21:19

I'm bemused you are both so tickled about condoning actions which could have killed policemen doing their duty. I think it says a lot about your politics though.

Anyway, now we've established that you do not have a problem with people taking up arms against the police, in a democracy, which again, says a lot about your politics.

I think further discussion about what you think about JC and JM is probably fairly futile as it seems there is nothing they could do which you will not either deny, whatever the evidence, or, probably more likely, think is a fantastic way to smash the capitalist machine.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 08/07/2017 21:27

Yes clearly i want people to kill others in the name of socialism as well.
