So out of a family of 4 we have various versions of this.

AIBU to think I am right?

Me: 2 rashers of bacon, a sausage, a potato cake, fried egg, grilled tomato and mushrooms.

DH: 2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, slice of black pudding, 2 potato cakes, scrambled eggs, beans

DSD: 2 potatoes cakes, poached egg, bacon and beans

DS: toast, beans, scrambled eggs, 3 potato cakes and 2 sausages

Over to the MN jury...which breakfast would you have?

2x poached eggs on toast
Beans
Grilled tomatoes
Bacon

My alternative breakfast is sausages beans and tomatoes!

SofaToad · 02/07/2017 08:42

Veggie sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, fried egg.
Sometimes veggie 'bacon', fried bread.
If I am out it will also include hash brown and maybe beans depending on the options because sometimes the veggie sausage is a revolting veggie croquette thing and I need a replacement.
Builders tea.
I like it with lots of grease which is OK as it a rare thing to have a breakfast, more of a treat.

Grumpbum · 02/07/2017 08:44

2 x bacon well cooked
2 x sausage
Black pudding
Beans
Sauté potatoes
Poached egg
HP sauce

Cailleach666 · 02/07/2017 08:45

Must have square sausage, sliced haggis, potato scone and fried dumpling.

Cailleach666 · 02/07/2017 08:46

Veggie bacon ?

Sound like crap.

HopefullyAnonymous · 02/07/2017 08:52

2 x unsmoked bacon rashers
2 x sausages
2 x fried eggs
Fried mushrooms
Tinned plum tomato and lots of the juice
Black pudding
White pudding
Potato cake

Perfect!

BellaBoo1985 · 02/07/2017 08:54

Full Scottish = 2/3 rashers of bacon, fried eggs, Lorne sausage, black pudding, haggis, tomatoes, mushrooms, tattie scone and/or well fired morning roll. #bliss

BellaBoo1985 · 02/07/2017 08:57

Can someone please clarify if a potato cake is a tattie scone? Someone mentioned slicing it first which makes me think it isn't?

BestIsWest · 02/07/2017 08:58

Welsh Breakfast

Bacon
Sausage
Egg
Mushrooms
Fried tomato
Cockles and laverbread (fried in the bacon fat)
Brown sauce
Unlimited toast and tea.

user1471545174 · 02/07/2017 08:59

Two well done rashers
One huge herby sausage
I fried egg (free range)
Fried button mushrooms
A fried potato cake
Black pudding
White pudding

Lots of tea and orange juice

Soda bread with unsalted butter and marmalade, if room.

user1471545174 · 02/07/2017 08:59

Mine is favourite Irish breakfast.

MermaidsTears · 02/07/2017 09:00

1 veggie sausage
2 hash browns
Beans
Mushrooms
Tomatoes (fried)
Buttery toast
And cups of tea of course!

user1471545174 · 02/07/2017 09:01

Irish potato cakes are triangular and quite flat, not the same as a farl. Does that sound like a tattie scone?

FleshEmoji · 02/07/2017 09:05

Two perfectly poached duck eggs and a metric tonne of haggis. Perfect.

Notso · 02/07/2017 09:08

The potato cakes I know are nothing like a potato scone. It's a fish-less fish cake, basically left over mashed potatoes made into a patty dipped in egg and flour and fried.

I hate eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, most kind of sausages, fried bread, tea gravy and not too keen on beans.

So my ideal breakfast is dead, dead, crispy bacon something potatoey (potato cake as above not the scone thing, hash brown or fried new potatoes) a naice chipolata sausage and buttery toast, maybe beans and no sauces, followed by toast and marmalade and loads of tea.

ShowMePotatoSalad · 02/07/2017 09:14

Bacon (with the fat properly rendered and crispy)
Sausages
Hash brown
Fried egg
Baked beans
Hot buttered toast
Cup of strong tea with dash of milk

That's my idea of heaven.

jellybeanteaparty · 02/07/2017 09:16

7 pages and no one has mentioned bubble and squeak! Gotta love a bit of bubble with your fry up.

Eolian · 02/07/2017 09:17

2 slices of bacon, 1 fat herby sausage, 1 fried egg or a pile of scrambled egg, fried bread and lots of fried field mushrooms, ketchup and a big cup of tea (or coffee if it's a bit later and I've already had a cup of tea).

ilovepixie · 02/07/2017 09:23

Soda bread, potato bread, pancake, bacon, sausage, fried egg and mushrooms. Nothing like a good old Ulster fry!

HotelEuphoria · 02/07/2017 09:24

Two bacon
Two chipolata sausages
Either fried egg or beans but never ever north. I hate egg and beans together.
Two potato cakes
Cup of Yorkshire Gold
HP brown sauce

hula008 · 02/07/2017 09:32

1x fried egg
2x bacon
2x sausage
Baked beans
2x hash brown

That's like a proper basic one

Black pudding, mushrooms etc are optional

Unicorn81 · 02/07/2017 09:33

Burnt smoked bacon on toast with hp sauce and tattie scone (when did they become potato cakes?)
Plus roll with runny fried egg and hp

phlebasconsidered · 02/07/2017 09:35

Bubble and squeak with a fried egg on top.
