The ultimate British breakfast

So out of a family of 4 we have various versions of this.

AIBU to think I am right?

Me: 2 rashers of bacon, a sausage, a potato cake, fried egg, grilled tomato and mushrooms.

DH: 2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, slice of black pudding, 2 potato cakes, scrambled eggs, beans

DSD: 2 potatoes cakes, poached egg, bacon and beans

DS: toast, beans, scrambled eggs, 3 potato cakes and 2 sausages

Over to the MN jury...which breakfast would you have?

Soda bread
fried pancake
Fried egg
Tomatoes (never eaten but should be on plate)
Ketchup

None of them as tomatoes or beans with breakfast are an abomination.

OP I'd go with yours but with hash brown (or two) instead of potato scone, and with baked beans as well.

all covered in gravy and cheese with a big dollop of mayo.

Ooh yes forgot about tinned plum tomatoes. I love tinned tomatoes on toast ( DH thinks I'm mad!) And it has to be a mahoosive mug of tea

Can I just share how I do my egg? I fry it on a low heat in butter with a lid on the pan so that the top of the white cooks without the yolk over-cooking and no crispy bottom. I discovered this method about 5 years ago and never have them any other way now.

Links , lorn , tattie scone, egg, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding and haggis makes a Scottish in our house. And occasionally a slice of fruit pudding .

For me it's 3 rashers of crispy bacon, black pudding, hash browns, fruitcake and plumed tomatoes, spinach and mushroom mix, and scrambled egg.

Roast herring, filleted, with vinegar and brown bread
Smoked mackerel, brown bread
Kipper, brown bread.
Porridge made with water in a double saucepan, salt.
Boiled eggs with toast.

Herring roe on toast.

All yum and just as British. Still like my dad's roast beef dripping on toast.

At home for Sunday breakfast we usually have:

2 bacon
1 or 2 sausages ( me/dh)
Black pudding (Stornoway or Dingwall only!)
1 or 2 poached eggs (me/dh)
Roasted cherry vine tomatoes, 1 'vine' each
Wilted spinach
Mushrooms
Sometimes a tattie scone if I've remembered!
Sourdough toast

Dd1 is a fussy little mare, poached or scrambled egg, toast and roast tomatoes for her
Dd2 still EBF but I'm expecting great things...

From your list I'd pick your breakfast I think!

Derbyshire or Staffordshire oatcake, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, black pudding, fried/poached egg, beans & tomato.
