We live in a close of four houses on side of the road- it's literally our road and then the houses on the right hand side. Driveways can take 2 cars in all 4 houses.

Neighbour knocked earlier today to say they are going on holiday until Friday. Neglected to mention that family were coming and leaving their cars here.

Anyway one of these said cars is blocking DHs car in. We cannot get it out without me reversing mine, clearing some junk out of the garage so he can drive in to reverse sideways into my space and out.

Garage is full of shit. It's stuff we can't store in the house because it's damp etc.

AIBU to consider hiring a tow truck to get the car moved?? I'm going to have to take DH to work for 6am now Angry

OP, if you park your car across the back of neighbours car will it be blocked in? You need to make their return as inconvenient as possible and not so they can just merrily drive off.

Ravenator · 29/06/2017 21:02

Oh my..I have NEVER placeheld before. Please update... its nearly bedtime :-)

dottybooboo22 · 29/06/2017 21:14

come on op, where the feck are you????

when you're neighbours rellies come home make sure you've stuck a spud up their exhaust pipe to prevent THEM from going anywhere!!!

They'll know how it feels like then!!!Angry

dottybooboo22 · 29/06/2017 21:15

your not you're.

BewareOfDragons · 29/06/2017 21:18

Any update?

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 29/06/2017 21:23

This is such a disappointing parking thread.
Op you need to take lessons from the nanny parking thread Grin

Redsippycup · 29/06/2017 21:42

Cheers Dibbles ! Wine

ahhhhhwoof · 29/06/2017 22:19

Placemarking 😬

SnickersWasAHorse · 29/06/2017 22:46

Blimey and I thought the fairer sex were less prone to vulgar language. How wrong can one be.

Hahahaha. Cunt off mate.

KeepServingTheDrinks · 29/06/2017 22:50

7 pages with only a (apologies!) theory diagram?

Why haven't MNHQ pulled the thread?

CotswoldStrife · 29/06/2017 22:59

So they are back tomorrow? Leave a note on the car.

I'm wondering if it is a double-width driveway or, although there is room to park two cars according to the OP, there is only a single drop-down and the neighbour has not 'blocked' the drop down IYSWIM.

But without a diagram we'll never know Sad

Booboo66 · 29/06/2017 23:18

👀

rightwhine · 29/06/2017 23:30

Ok whererere have you gone?

Kkmuppet · 29/06/2017 23:51

Worst parking thread ever - and I made a coffee to settle down with it too :-(

HiJenny35 · 30/06/2017 00:23

I'm in London but I live near a school and it happens at least once a week. I call the council they come within ten minutes, ticket, clamp and tow the car. Doesn't matter if I am on my drive or off it, either way it's obstructing a dropped kerb and they will tow. £180 release fee and they have to collect it from the neighbouring borough pound. People are never happy when they get back and they car is gone however they shouldn't have been so inconsiderate.

Michellelovesizzy · 30/06/2017 11:21

Your neighbours may not have meant any harm and probably dont realise your bloked In! If I was you I would just clear the garage out! Tell my neighbors when they get back about the problem! If I came back from holiday and my car had been towed I would not be happy it will just cause problems i think. I dout your neighbours have done this on purpose!

Michellelovesizzy · 30/06/2017 11:25

Unless your neighbours are arsehols and do loads of shit like this!

DereksGotATail · 30/06/2017 12:13

Still no update?
I'm visualising the same as the diagram up thread. Unless the offending car is parked within inches of blocked car, I can't see why the blocked car can't be moved backward and forward to gradually manoeuvre out of the space iyswim.

PatMullins · 30/06/2017 12:16

If you can't do a diagram, can you post a photo? Neighbours wont see it, promise Smile

Skinnydecafflatte · 30/06/2017 13:09

I'm not sure if anyone has asked yet but perhaps a diagram would help us understand.
Also has the cheque been cashed...
😉

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 30/06/2017 13:36

I think your neighbors did it so not to get oil leaked on their own driveway Grin

Come on OP. We need an update

JustDontGetItAtAll · 30/06/2017 13:41

I bet I could get your DH car out if the diagram is correct. Just be a 10,000 point turn!!

WhatchaMaCalllit · 30/06/2017 14:05

Peppa - LOL!!! Maybe they asked their nanny to park there Wink

punkpuffin · 30/06/2017 14:10

Why can you get one care out but not the other?

Socksey · 30/06/2017 14:14

Your neighbours may not have meant any harm and probably dont realise your bloked in

Lol... if the suggested diagram is how the cars are actually parked (same as was in my head)... then they need glasses if they think they've not blocked anyone in... I'm obviously mych less charitable in my thoughts than this poster Grin
