We live in a close of four houses on side of the road- it's literally our road and then the houses on the right hand side. Driveways can take 2 cars in all 4 houses.

Neighbour knocked earlier today to say they are going on holiday until Friday. Neglected to mention that family were coming and leaving their cars here.

Anyway one of these said cars is blocking DHs car in. We cannot get it out without me reversing mine, clearing some junk out of the garage so he can drive in to reverse sideways into my space and out.

Garage is full of shit. It's stuff we can't store in the house because it's damp etc.

AIBU to consider hiring a tow truck to get the car moved?? I'm going to have to take DH to work for 6am now Angry

Refresh, refresh, refresh!

LexieLulu · 01/07/2017 22:52

Did you end up getting anyone to tow the car? Grin

Alittlepotofrosie · 01/07/2017 23:11

Ha place marking! Grin

*It's not theft as they have no intention of permanently depriving the owner of it.8

Not too sure about that given that they are saying that they won't release it unless he pays £30.

TheMaddHugger · 02/07/2017 01:38

as neighbour tries to manoeuvre the car.

bahahahahaha. Where did you leave it ??😸 😹

K1092902 · 02/07/2017 02:00

It's finally bloody gone and DHs car is back on the drive.

Pleased to announce DDog took a piss on their grass verge on a walk earlier on much to mine and DHs amusement.

Don't think our relationship with neighbour will be the same again but the inconsiderate twat doesn't deserve to be friends with the greatest people on earth Grin

Neighbour has pissed off back to wherever the family are and we are awaiting a dog shit through our letterbox upon their return

Grin

It's been emotional mumsnet

But what happened? Hmm

HotelEuphoria · 02/07/2017 06:55

You can't end it like this? Why was the car left as it was, what did the neighbour say, where was the car owner?

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 02/07/2017 08:19

So did you not get it towed after all?

Redsippycup · 02/07/2017 08:20

Wha...?!

'It's gone' is not enough information!

Who said what? Did he come back especially to move it? Why did he leave it there?!

chirpyburbycheapsheep · 02/07/2017 10:56

No no no this update is unacceptable. The only way this could have been more unsatisfying is if you ended it with "and then I realised it had all been a dream".

We need detailed dialogue and sketches of facial expressions and the gesticulating. Ideally you and your dh could re-enact in costumes and upload a video (with your faces pixilated obviously as we're not complete weirdos with an unhealthy obsession with other people's parking dramas)

A regular podcast and the publication of a follow up coffee table book featuring glossy images of badly parked cars would then be welcome as would guest slots on this morning and, if you can somehow turn this into a political issue, question time.

I am being serious. We need more detail!!

You are so right chirpy.

We need gristly detail and alist of all the Really Bad Swears full `count of what was where, when it got there, why it caused further problems, who was involved, and how everything worked out.

HappyFlappy · 02/07/2017 21:30

strike out fail - apologies.

No - we are most definitely not . . . Hmm
