We live in a close of four houses on side of the road- it's literally our road and then the houses on the right hand side. Driveways can take 2 cars in all 4 houses.

Neighbour knocked earlier today to say they are going on holiday until Friday. Neglected to mention that family were coming and leaving their cars here.

Anyway one of these said cars is blocking DHs car in. We cannot get it out without me reversing mine, clearing some junk out of the garage so he can drive in to reverse sideways into my space and out.

Garage is full of shit. It's stuff we can't store in the house because it's damp etc.

AIBU to consider hiring a tow truck to get the car moved?? I'm going to have to take DH to work for 6am now Angry

I'm literally placemarking for a diagram!! Grin

DarthMaiden · 28/06/2017 15:57

Your DH needs to call his mates.

A group of people can easily bounce a car quite a long distance.

If you get enough people you could probably carry it (a normal sized car anyway) at least a few streets away and hide it.

Mrsdarcyiwish10 · 28/06/2017 16:01

You should buy a wheel clamp then watch from the window when they come back to it

TaggySits · 28/06/2017 16:12

Where are you OP? If you're local to me I'll get my DF to pop round with his forklift and lift it for you. He could set it somewhere out of your way. Like in their front garden. Or behind a low wall.

AmserGwin · 28/06/2017 16:32

If your rubbish at diagrams, please post a photo instead Grin

OutnumberedbyFurchesters · 28/06/2017 16:49

4 pages and no diagram. It's unheard of!

Other than placemarking, i hope you get it sorted OP!

whatsleep · 28/06/2017 17:00

Still no diagram.......😬

Fitzsimmons · 28/06/2017 17:08

Can you call a tow truck?

Goingtobeawesome · 28/06/2017 17:36

What are you going to do as presumably your DSD doesn't want to take another day off work?

You don't need the police or tow truck for moving a car a short distance. You just need a jack and four car skates (£54 for the set of 4). Jack each wheel. Skate under. Move the car to somewhere more convenient.

Ideally on a double yellow line. Grin

ItWentInMyEye · 28/06/2017 18:52

Placemark 🙄

UnRavellingFast · 28/06/2017 20:32

Can you make video of evidence then get it towed (to a double yellow, oops sorry mrs) and take them to small claims to get money back from the toeing cost? Also charge for lost Day of work for DSD! Small claims really quick and easy- it's on line.

Oh and when you make vid of evidence, perhaps it might help with the diagram ? 😜

UnRavellingFast · 28/06/2017 20:33

Towing not toeing gah! Although they're not toeing the line are they?!

kali110 · 28/06/2017 20:37

Thats crap! Id report it abondoned then!

MagentaRocks · 28/06/2017 20:42

You can't just report a car as abandoned and it magically gets taken away. The council will not remove a car simply because someone tells them it is abandoned.

NeedATrim · 28/06/2017 20:51

What happened OP?

SparkyBlue · 28/06/2017 20:54

Cheeky feckers. You should just get it towed.

BrieAndChilli · 28/06/2017 20:55

Unless you have a really short driveway I can't picture how you couldn't do a million point move across the drive to then get out??!!

notanevilstepmother · 28/06/2017 21:00

DH could get a taxi to work and send them the bill.

rollonthesummer · 28/06/2017 21:02

Drawing? Photo?

TipTop333 · 28/06/2017 21:04

But.... but.... diagram????

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 28/06/2017 21:04

How have I read the entire thread and still not seen a diagram?!?

WeMustGetOffTheMountain · 28/06/2017 21:06

Not place marking at all.....

Migraleve · 28/06/2017 21:11

I'm confused. If you can get your car out why can't he manoeuvre his out?

We NEED the diagram
