I'm all out of inspiration here. The grind is getting us all down, interspersed with terrorist attacks, but we shall overcome. In the meantime, there's gin and camaraderie.

I also read the Telegraph sometimes.
I even watch some Fox and hit on Breitbart on occasion.

But, you know? Anyone with some critical sense only has to read his tweets and listen to his speeches to get the measure of him. And it's not good at all.

Orlantina · 30/06/2017 21:48

How many of that list are Democratic states?

www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/30/dem-state-officials-refusing-to-cooperate-with-trump-voter-fraud-probe.html

I know Utah isn't.

"Democratic state officials already are refusing to cooperate with the voter fraud investigation ordered by President Trump, saying they will not hand over the extensive “voter roll data” the commission is seeking"

A quick check shows quite a few are Republican

What happens if they repeal Obamacare? Will the US become lawless regarding healthcare?

cozietoesie · 30/06/2017 21:50

I was thinking of your neck of the woods the other day, Lweji. I also saw this piece.

Lweji · 30/06/2017 21:53

Yes, cozie. I mentioned it on a previous thread.
We are preparing for desertification.

saffronwblue · 30/06/2017 22:06

He is a laughingstock in Australia. Our (right of centre) Prime minister was recently caught on tape mocking him.

ayylmaooo · 30/06/2017 22:30

The thought of a 9 year old child on an anti-Trump, anti-gun, anti-death-penalty rant is utterly depressing.

I don't understand why the left love using kids to push agendas, as if kids are some sort of authority on politics, or know anything about anything.

Kids are influenced almost entirely by what they see and hear on a day to day basis. Exposing them to politics at that age steals them of their innocence and ability to enjoy being a child while they can. It is not impressive.

cozietoesie · 30/06/2017 22:39

I hope none of your friends and family were caught by the fires, Lweji?

woman12345 · 30/06/2017 22:43

De lurking to say, I was in Portugal (Praia Da Luche) during some mass fires about 13 years ago. Impressed by the calm and kindness of the Portuguese despite the smoke plumes, blotting out the sun.

I recall being off the beaten track in - Aragon - I think it was. Many years back. Whole hillside villages deserted due to lack of water, according to the locals.

No side should use kids to push agendas. There are children though who do think that certain things are wrong...like sexism, homophobia, racism.

lionheart · 30/06/2017 22:58

cozie sounds like a long and dangerous shot but I wouldn't put it past them.

Orlantina · 30/06/2017 23:00

Speaking of children.....

DS didn't think I was following enough Senators on twitter so he added a couple more (10) when I left my twitter account unguarded.

Could have been worse.

MrsT2007 · 30/06/2017 23:02

lionheart · 30/06/2017 23:02

He sounds very helpful, Orlantina.

cozietoesie · 30/06/2017 23:04

cozietoesie · 30/06/2017 23:09

Kris Kobach has said he can't comply with the request!

cozietoesie · 30/06/2017 23:09

I understand. Grin

thedcbrokemybank · 30/06/2017 23:25

Mrs T I think that I'd where it is headed too. Or McCabe. Trump has to have a reason to fire Mueller.
ayylmaooo
You asked why Trump keeps coming out on top. To me the simple answer seems to be money. He had the money, by whatever means. The GOP now need him to push through with their agenda. It's not like there is a viable alternative. Like him or loathe him he has presence (in a literal sense).
He does however lack any shred of decency or integrity (as evidenced by his latest tweets). The press are there to hold politicians to account. We should have a balanced media, in terms of representation from all sides. Can you not see by his constant barage of "Fake News" that he is trying to undermine that?
Can you also please acknowledge the significant amount of lies he has told and how that can possibly be a good thing for the man who is supposedly in charge of the free world.
