last night it was almost fucking unbearable standing making a paella for tea. I threw our balcony doors open (we live in apartment) but there's no real through breeze.

I havent taken anything out for tea but intended to make spag bol or chilli... now thinking sod that.

Crusty bread, butter , salad and meats.
Too hot for anything that requires cooking.

Yogagirl123 · 19/06/2017 16:10

Yep, I am with you there OP. I have told DH no way is the oven going on whilst the heatwave lasts. Last night he cooked on our gas BBQ, and tonight its pizza, that he will cook in the outdoor pizza oven.

Whatsername17 · 19/06/2017 16:11

Stuffed peppers and salad. Dh will have his with steak.

ProudBadMum · 19/06/2017 16:11

Child wants pasta so he can have that. I'll probably have a sandwich later

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 19/06/2017 16:13

Fish cakes with sweet potato mash. Green beans and cabbage.
Some pina colada left from bbq last night too!!

RatOnnaStick · 19/06/2017 16:13

Was thinking of carbonara as it's minimal cooking but I might just resort to cold pasta and salad again. Maybe some new potatoes.

EatTheChocolateTeapot · 19/06/2017 16:13

Seabass and roasted vine tomatoes with a big salad. Slimming World recipe.

Chrisinthemorning · 19/06/2017 16:14

Barbecue again (we have a gas one). Lamb, corn on the cob and sweet potato fries.

requestingsunshine · 19/06/2017 16:14

Omlette, new pots and baked beans here.

NoCapes · 19/06/2017 16:14

FidgetSpinner · 19/06/2017 16:15

Seniorcitizen1 · 19/06/2017 16:16

bbq

Crunchymum · 19/06/2017 16:16

It's so hot in my house, the oven won't make much difference Shock

I'm going to do some chicken kebabs though. With salad and pitta.

InDubiousBattle · 19/06/2017 16:18

Take away curry. It's my birthday and to 'save me the bother' of dragging the children out my family are descending on me! No way I can be arsed shopping and cooking for them!

ImogenTubbs · 19/06/2017 16:25

Grilled haloumi, gherkins and tomatoes with mayo and salad.

BeeFarseer · 19/06/2017 16:29

Prawn salad for me; prawns, garlic bread, apple and cheese for toddler DS; garlic bread, apple, chicken for older DS with ASD. Chicken and sun-dried tomato salad for DH.

We all eat differently for health and sensory reasons, but I'm quite pleased there's a few items doing more than one person today.

Thatextrainch · 19/06/2017 16:32

I asked my dp to buy chicken breasts last night and he came home with a whole chicken, a large one which requires two hours to roast. I have to use it tonight as best before is today and we have no room in the freezer so we are having roast chicken salad.

Toddler has barely ate all day so I'm currently doing fish fingers and chips as I can guarantee that she'll eat it shoot me

AVY1 · 19/06/2017 16:46

I'm making cauliflower steaks and salad. Made a quiche earlier for tomorrow. Don't really feel like eating though. Have chucked a load of fruit in the freezer to make smoothies!

Ollivander84 · 19/06/2017 16:47

Feta and crispy bacon salad. All ready prepped stuff Grin

flownthecoopkiwi · 19/06/2017 16:48

ham, brie, naice bread and then lashings of strawberries, meringues and cream.

crazypenguinlady · 19/06/2017 16:49

Pasta with Salmon in a tomato and maescapon sauce. Will probably go a salad to go with it as well. Strawberries and frozen yoghurt for dessert.
