last night it was almost fucking unbearable standing making a paella for tea. I threw our balcony doors open (we live in apartment) but there's no real through breeze.

I havent taken anything out for tea but intended to make spag bol or chilli... now thinking sod that.

We've got cold meat, salad, baguette. Strawberries for pud. Nobody wants food and usually my DC chew their own knee caps off daily.

Ketzele · 19/06/2017 16:53

Melon, cucumber, pistachio and feta salad. With mint leaves.

Ketzele · 19/06/2017 16:53

Mind, the dc will be horrified.

SquidgeyMidgey · 19/06/2017 16:54

Cold meat, baby pots, salad.

Areyoufree · 19/06/2017 16:56

We have a chicken that needs to be cooked today. So I cooked it. But then, you can't eat roast chicken without roast potatoes... So, on the hottest day so far this year, we are having a full roast dinner.

Pinkheart5912 · 19/06/2017 16:57

Salad ( watercress, rocket, spinach, radish, peppers, grated carrot, red onion, baby tomatoes)
Cold chicken & a sweet chilli dressing. I love that my babies will eat salad.

Dessert strawberries from the garden with home made ice cream

peachgreen · 19/06/2017 16:59

Cold roast chicken, salad, hummus and sun dried tomatoes. Can't wait.

tigercub50 · 19/06/2017 17:00

BBQ to make up for a fairly disastrous Fathers Day! I only have bangers & rolls too happy with that 🙂

tigercub50 · 19/06/2017 17:01

But not Too!

vvviola · 19/06/2017 17:03

Barbecue. It's DH's birthday so I'm letting him cook Grin

And then tomorrow will be leftover barbecue.

I may actually cook something on Wednesday.

BrutusMcDogface · 19/06/2017 17:05

I've just made the kids dome marmite sandwiches. I then gave them a bowl full of all the fruit and veg I could find in the fridge, cut up, to alleviate the guilt. If they eat all of it I would I'll give them some crisps. I am too grumpy to eat right now but I can guarantee later I'll probably order a massive takeaway as I slso comfort eat.

fleshmarketclose · 19/06/2017 17:06

I've cooked a piece of ham and we're having it with Jersey royals and salad. Strawberries and ice cream afterwards.

BrutusMcDogface · 19/06/2017 17:06

Sorry for all the typos! Angry

Floralnomad · 19/06/2017 17:07

Ds is out , dd is undecided about what she's having , dh is getting cheese ravioli and salad and I'm having an M&S ready meal that has been loitering in the fridge for a few days .

SleepingBooty · 19/06/2017 17:07

Chicken in bbq sauce and salad

BrutusMcDogface · 19/06/2017 17:07

Ps dp is out a-fucking-gain; we never eat together as a family Sad

BarbedBloom · 19/06/2017 17:08

Quiche and salad. The house is so hot I might faint if the oven goes on as well. Plus it minimises the time I have to spend away from the fan

notomatoes · 19/06/2017 17:09

Ice lollies.

MrsHathaway · 19/06/2017 17:12

Special rice aka whatever vegetables I can find stir fried together, with boiled rice and cold leftover chicken chucked in at the end. Minimal hob time.

HeyMicky · 19/06/2017 17:12

Gazpacho.

Also on the menu thus week is poached chicken salad, BBQ fish and salad, and omelette and salad. There might be a theme

ItsNachoCheese · 19/06/2017 17:13

Soup and tiger bread followed by birthday cake Grin

sticklebrix · 19/06/2017 17:15

Salad, cold boiled eggs (boiled this morning when it wasn't so hot), cold chicken, bread. Fruit and yoghurt for pudding.

Dashper · 19/06/2017 17:15

DS wants pasta as usual. DH is away for work, so I'll have a (very long) rummage in the freezer later.

blamethecat · 19/06/2017 17:16

Quiche I have cooked this afternoon and salad.

arbrighton · 19/06/2017 17:17

We had a roast last night but that's virtually zero effort apart from put things in oven.

Then we ate outside.

I'd love to be having bits of cold meat/ prawns/ salads etc but currently that sets off the 38 weeks pregnant heartburn and DH wouldn't want that every night

So minimal effort dinners, eaten a bit later outside is the compromise. Salad ASAP after bean arrives for me. I actually like it. I miss it :(
