last night it was almost fucking unbearable standing making a paella for tea. I threw our balcony doors open (we live in apartment) but there's no real through breeze.

I havent taken anything out for tea but intended to make spag bol or chilli... now thinking sod that.

Chicken Caesar salad (chicken breasts pan fried) with Luke warm baby Jersey Royals

Katedotness1963 · 19/06/2017 17:23

Salads, with chicken, shrimp, salmon or ham. I'll roast some chicken when it cools down later. I'm toying with using the slow cooker for ribs and chicken too... Husband will be sent out to cook some meals on the gas grill. I've got a Foreman grill that I can use without heating the kitchen much. Sandwich night is definitely making a comeback for the hot weather. Pasta salad.

Decaffstilltastesweird · 19/06/2017 17:24

Dc - refusing to eat pretty much anything, so is drinking some cold milk and eating a banana

Me - feel horrid, so maybe cereal, maybe nothing

DH - leftover curry, which the poor sod had to cook for himself last night, on top of the BBQ he did on Saturday, (I'm very little help at the mo due to the aforementioned feeling horrid)!

I'm so sick of this weather! Want to migrate north. Yes, I know it's not that hot, but my house bloody well feels it today.

Pyjamaface · 19/06/2017 17:26

Sandwiches, crisps, scotch eggs and some salad here. No way I'm doing any cooking

PuppyMonkey · 19/06/2017 17:27

Have just found a packet of Tesco cocktail sausages which are looking very appealing Grin

SpeckledyHen · 19/06/2017 17:29

Poached salmon and a veggie rice salad . Took 7 minutes to cook when I got in and cooling nicely now .

Hothothotsummer · 19/06/2017 17:30

Ham sandwiches crisps and salad
That's your lot!

CheshireChat · 19/06/2017 17:32

Baked tomatoes and mozzarella- yum, but the oven is rendered my kitchen unusable.

Salads and grilled meats the rest of the week.

Maybe naan pizza again.

Sparkletastic · 19/06/2017 17:33

I've just had to reheat and serve an aggressively bland and claggy cottage pie that DD1 made in Food Tech. I faked enthusiasm but my word it was not what I fancied Confused

SewButtons · 19/06/2017 17:36

Roast chicken salad here as well.
Cold meats/cheeses and bread and salad last night
And cold pesto pasta with peas and pine nuts tomorrow.

PixiePopPops · 19/06/2017 17:37

Pasta, cheese, butter and peas for the toddler.

I'll have pork loin with salad later and prosecco Grin

AprilLudgate30 · 19/06/2017 17:38

We are probably going to order a takeaway to complete alleviate the cooking/having to move issue 😁

Shwangalangadingdong · 19/06/2017 17:39

SealSong · 19/06/2017 17:40

Prawn salad yesterday, and hummus/salad wrap tonight, FAR too hot to cook. Totally lost my appetite.

OohMavis · 19/06/2017 17:40

ChildishGambino · 19/06/2017 17:41

toffeeboffin · 19/06/2017 17:41

Incredibly expensive bavette that DH bought yesterday from a fancy butchers. On the BBQ.

It'd better be good!

That and a salad.

Crazycakelady17 · 19/06/2017 17:45

Spag Bol here but I did make it first thing when the heat wasn't too unbareable with salad and pasta but eaten outside in our costumes ☺️

Forgettheworld · 19/06/2017 17:46

DS has had potato waffles and pasta in tomato sauce. Me and DP are having weight watchers meals we go on holiday 2 week today trying to lose some weight.

Maddogs · 19/06/2017 17:47

Poached chicken with pasta, French beans and salad veg. Crusty bread. Currently poaching chicken and slowly melting it's only the cold wine spritzer keeping me alive!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 19/06/2017 17:47

omelette salad and jersey royal potatoes with loads of butter.

InvisibleKittenAttack · 19/06/2017 17:48

Basic bbq - sausage and burgers only.

Tomorrow night I've planned salmon pasta for Dc and DH and I will have Thai green curry - some cooking but not too bad.

Wednesday I was planning on a spinach tart I haven't made for ages, but I've shop bought the pastry ready to roll as the idea of making pastry is depressing, but then the kids won't eat that, might have to be yet more pasta for them and we can eat spinach tart around 9pm when I'll finally be cool enough to eat.

Thursday- think the weather is supposed to break by then so will probably do lamb curry but I'm too hot to think!

grosseconnasse · 19/06/2017 17:49

Last night we had an indoor picnic - ciabatta, chicken, ham, cheese, rocket, sun-dried tomatoes, sausage rolls, scotch egg etc.
Tonight it's chorizo, pea and pesto pasta from delicious website, takes 10 minutes tops.
Tomorrow we're having Nigella's Vietnamese chicken salad which requires no cooking at all, just shoving some veg in a bowl with ready-cooked chicken and some dressing.

SecondaryQuandary · 19/06/2017 17:51

BBQ leftovers : steak, sausages, lamb koftes, potatoes, brioche buns, salad.

Strawbs and rasps from veg patch.
